The Screaming Unicorn @ Buttonwoods Brewery offers an exceptional food experience with a lively, eclectic atmosphere. The menu features fantastic wings, wood-fired pizza, and delectable shareable plates, including the popular Unicorn Fries and crispy brussels sprouts. The pizza, made from a crispy rye-flour dough and baked in a wood fire oven, provides a bold, flavorful taste, especially with added hot honey. The sandwiches, such as the Screaming BLT, deliver contrasting flavors and aromatic candied bacon that draws diners in from all corners of the brewery. Guests have become completely obsessed with the BLT and have praised the peanut cauliflower, smash burger, and chicken sando as well. The Unicorn Fries are hot and generously spiced with garlic aioli, making them a favorite among guests. The brewery boasts excellent beer, with a variety of craft brews served by friendly, no-nonsense beertenders from Buttonwoods Brewery. The staff’s approachable attitude complements the vibrant, somewhat quirky decor, which includes funky furniture and playful touches like a haunted baby. The inviting, family-friendly environment and attentive service make this a must-visit destination for both meat-lovers and vegetarians alike. The open concept kitchen allows diners to see the cooking process, and the restrooms are kept clean. While parking can be challenging, the overall experience remains fun and tasty, with great food and drinks. The only minor inconvenience is that the brewery and kitchen have separate cashiers, and the single-use plastic cutlery may not appeal to all.
