I decided to give this place a try after reading the many positive reviews. My husband and I are always trying to find interesting new places to order from and I liked that they had the pork chop rice platter we usually get from Vietnamese restaurants. I hardly ever order General Tso's but I had an unfortunate craving. We ordered the General Tso's combo, the pork chop rice plate, two brown sugar teas and an Dim Sum app, the roast pork buns. The food came on time and was hot. ....That's about where the positives end. The pork chops were alright- they were thin, soggy and thrown into the foam container. Taste-wise my husband said they weren't bad. The pork buns were fine but I instantly recognized them as the frozen variety I buy all the time from the Asian market. Which is alright but the price for two was way too costly. The iced milk teas were fine but a bit on the weak side. Then there was the General Tso's combo. Boy oh boy. As soon as I opened the container I got a whiff of that gamey, off putting smell. The kinda smell you find on chicken that's not quite spoiled but definitely not fresh. I have no idea what I was thinking when I ate one, small piece. It was awful. Unfortunately I spent the rest of the evening with the worst stomachache and nausea. I was honestly very lucky I didn't try to eat anymore of it else I'm fairly certain I would have spent the rest of the night with food poisoning. On a positive note, the fried rice was actually really tasty but thanks to the chicken stench, I couldn't stomach it. Definitely heed the warnings- we paid over $50 for everything and all I got was an evening of wretched stomach pain.

Got dim sum here around dinner time, place was nice. Pork soup buns and crystal shrimp dumplings were some of the tastiest things I've ever had, really special. Roast pork buns were also very good. They make a good Thai milk tea too. Will be coming back!

I have recently moved to RI from San Francisco. I had very solid Chinese restaurants there that I frequented. When I moved here all I wanted was good fried rice. After trying what I was told were the best places over and over, I resigned myself to never finding what I wanted. Until I tried Yummy Cafe. Their fried rice is light, fluffy and not cooked soaked in soy sauce. Their dim sum was also delightful. The owner mentioned that if you are looking for a specific dish that might be more traditional to ask as they probably can prepare it. All in all, made me feel a little more at home and happy to have those excellent flavors again!

This was so good! They do the fried rice in a super hot wok, so there's actual searing and that delicious barely charred taste I love

Terrible. Ordered deliver the shrimp dumplings did not come with sauce (on purpose) and the tofu I ordered tasted awful fake disgusting and like prepackaged sauce was poured into the pan and then they tossed sesame on top. no veggies at all. and did not ome with rice (on purpose). Literal waste of money as I didnt eat any of the food and was frustrated as heck because the dumplings looked fine but were not good without sauce. I just really dont understand.

This place is awful. I wanted to try it seeing that there were so many good reviews. Went there, service was super slow & some of the food never even came out had to let the lady know that we didn’t want it anymore because we were already down eating. Didn’t eat half our food because it came out raw. We then told the lady that it was raw, she sent it back into the kitchen, then we received some more items. Again, raw! What we did try & eat had a freezer burn taste to it. Pretty sure the meat they use is old. Wouldn’t recommend.

Went today, ordered some dim sum items and some other items like fried rice & a stir fry. When we got the crystal shrimp dumpling, the shrimp inside was raw/blue colored so we showed the lady & she had it sent back. Later on, our pork ribs came out & again it was also raw. We did not bother telling them again because clearly they didn't care seeing that we told them about 1 item being raw & then they didn't think to double check the remaining items that they brought out after? Half of our shumai was raw, the other was fine. We also had a milk tea with boba & it had some awkward perfume taste to it, wasn't drinkable. So we pretty much couldn't eat 40% of the stuff that we ordered. Chicken feet had a weird taste to it and was very dry. It almost was a freezer burn taste. Was really hoping to find a great dim sum place in the area but this was not it.

Been here 3 times- twice for dim sum and once for dinner and every time the food is excellent. Really enjoy the congee, Chinese broccoli with garlic, and pork belly with mustard greens. Very affordable and authentic Chinese food in a quiet setting

This wonderful little restaurant surpassed every expectation, I took a gamble being in the area and having a craving for dimsum and this spot was great. The staff are so generous and friendly, the restaurant is very clean, and most importantly the food is incredible. I had an assortment of the dimsum, the chicken feet, beef buns, shrimp Shumai, black beam spare ribs, and beef soup dumplings... everything was so good and fresh, I will absolutely come back.

I decided to go to Yummy Cafe for my birthday and I am nothing short of impressed. I ordered beef and broccoli, chicken wings, and beef and chicken fried rice. Their portions were more than enough to feed me and my two guests. The beef and broccoli was absolutely perfect and savory. The chicken wings were delicious with perfect crunchy skin and a soft, juicy interior. The rice was just amazing and surprisingly flavorful. The food came out as ready, so don't expect to get all your food at once, but the wait wasn't bad. My grandmother couldn't get enough of the tea! Overall, great service and amazing food. One of the best Chinese restaurants in Rhode Island.

Been here a few times in the last year, but they seem to have not reopened after the New Year and their phone number is disconnected. Shame since this was one of the few authentic Chinese restaurants in the area. They actually made their own dim sum too.
