Please please please be careful if you go to finns and decide to order the clam chowder.
Especially if you don't have dental insurance.
I orderd mine on 12/11/23
It was good until.........
After I was served my chowder, around my forth bite in I discovered a 1"x⅜" sharde of some kind of glass that had a metal band around it. I unfortunately discovered it to late in my mouth when i chewed it hit my tooth and took my filling completely out.
Thankfully i had spit it out, I could have easily choked. As well as damaged my internals if it went down.
No one wants to take responsibility. Finns - Mark wants to blame it on their provider. Yes the chowder is outsource, they just warm it up I was told.
However I'm legit losing my tooth now because of this pice of glass that was in my food, As well as the $3200 to fix it that i dont have.
It's a tooth so the hospital won't do anything. I know because I've had to go several times already because the nerves are exposed and it's causing way to much pain to handle.
I understand things can happen in life however sometimes it's how you correct your worngs in life that'll make a difference
I've been eating and drinking at Finns for over 30 years. A few nights before the fire I went there for the first time in maybe 10 yrs and what a disappointment. Years ago the food was great, the baked stuffed shrimp was great, and the drinks were good. When I went the other night they didn't even have baked stuffed shrimp anymore on the menu and the food they did have was all bad. Even the stuffies were bad. I had lobster Alfredo but you'd be hard pressed to find it and it was so chewy I finally just spit it out. The calamari was the same, so over cooked it was like chewing rubber bands. I went to the bar and ordered a drink and it was like $9 and change...OK whatever but the glass was 3/4 full with ice. So I went back to get another and asked for less ice pointing to a point on the glass and basically got the same amount of ice. But on top of that this time the girl charged me a dollar more. She offered to credit me and I said I'm all set. After I finished my drink I realized that the glass is made so the bottom of the glass is thicker, like 5 times thicker. You'd never notice from the outside because there's just a line. So the bottom of the glass is like a shot glass. So they give you this big glass that really isn't and fill it with ice. I've never had such bad food and drinks in my life and this is coming from someone who has always loved this place. All I can say is maybe the fire was needed to do a reset on this restaurant.Hope they come back stronger.

Nice place. On the water. Large bar area and dining space. The Preztel was warm, buttery, salty and served with a warm bar cheese and mustard if you'd like. It's HUGE! Be sure to try one of their "2" fresh and extra yummy Lobster Rolls served two different ways.
Parking: There's lots Cross the street.

Went there at 5:30 on Friday to avoid crowds and were pleasantly surprised with the speed, courtesy and food in every way. Short ribs were tender and the baked cod was perfect and plentiful. Caesar salad and wedge salad as well as littenecks in broth and stuffies for our appetizers were all just delicious. Our waitperson Sydney was professional and friendly, making the whole experience very satisfying. It was an overall 84th birthday success.

Once again, a wonderful night out at Finn's. It was $12 night Fish and chips or baked cod dinner! My husband started with a cup hot chowder. Perfect for a cold night. Our server was wonderful. I ordered the baked cod with a delicious lemon butter sauce, garlic mashed potatoes, and broccolini. Loved it. My husband's fish and chips were clean your plate, GREAT. A cold beer and glass of wine to wash it down with rounded out our dinner. Thanks Finn's
Always a good time at Finns. Friendly efficient staff and comfort pub food ,and especially good seafood, fresh clam dish right from the boats. The best restaurant view in Ri. Boats docked and moored on Greenwich cove. Bartender Keith rules .
My family has gone here for decades, literally. It is a great location with attentive staff and good food. Held my Mom's Birthday here a while ago and they were amazing to work with, especially Kim who handled a large gathering with great cheer and
