Terrific venue from stage to players to audience and bar in East Greenwich. Historically neat place to play. I played the Tuesday mic in August and will return as my schedule permits. If you are in Rhode Island, check out the Updike. And be sure to have breakfast the next morning at Jigger's Diner, opposite.
I was verbally attacked by the band and the patrons of this restaurant after the band guitarist hit my car in the front of the bar. I asked to speak to the guitarist after I saw him hit my car. He denied it when I asked for his insurance and the whole place shouted me down. I had to leave because a man at the bar was yelling at me to leave and was yelljng hateful comments at me about the way I look. Be careful in this place . I have been a patron of this bar in the past
🍺🙂 Live music, interesting folks 👍

The Updike Room at the Greenwich Hotel offers a delightful dining experience, boasting the best Thai food. With vegetarian options available, it's a great spot for all. The staff is very friendly, making it kid-friendly and accessible. The bar is a standout, featuring a nice-looking space with a great sound system and lighting. Enjoy live music and karaoke, and take advantage of the open mics with house gear available.
The bar has a large circular design with reasonably priced drinks. It's a great spot for live music, and they also have a pool table in the back. The bartenders are funny and welcoming, and they have a unique feature where you can get a drink that's not mixed before you even get to the bar. The live music is amazing, not overpowering so you can enjoy a conversation, but enough to draw you in and make you move.
