You're from RI? You know chelos is good. Food is usually better than Gregg's but dessert can't hold a candle to Gregg's. I'm sure you'll try it tho. Portions are big here and they are good so you'll like it

3/6/24 I picked up a takeout meal for my co-worker who likes their meals but this time it was disappointing. I paid extra for sweet potato fries which were burnt and there hardly any. The ones they gave me were little ends, not long fries. And the clam cakes were burnt. I will be buying at Gregg’s next time. No more burnt food for me!

they messed up my order and then when I called to try and get it corrected they were rude and refused to correct my order. waste of money, terrible service. should have gone to Gregs.

Disappointed, this afternoon I went online to pick out where to go tonight. Look at chelo's menu and picked out something. I arrived, was seated. Imagine my surprise when I looked at the menu. Prices were different. I asked and was told the prices changed this afternoon, quite a difference, I informed my server had I known I wouldn't have come. Anyway $21.58 IMO was a bit high for so-so meatloaf & cold broccoli.

We were blown away by the food and service! Our Son has autism and staff were incredibly accommodating including offering a quiet space and extra room for him to move around. Staff reacted very appropriately with our service dog as well (as in they ignored her). Well done! Food was also very well made, and very generous portions. Would definitely recommend!

Myself and family have been going to Chelos every week since 2020. They were only one of the few restaurants that were open during COVID. Over the past 6 months we have noticed a decline of food quality, service, and wait staff. Every week it's been getting a little worse than the week before. This week they served us COLD soup!! How does this happen? This may have been the last visit to Chelos!Kid-friendliness: Kids like the desert
I wish they would keep the sangria bottles the same size. Just frustrating for them to keep making changes. Wasn't having issues for the longest time until they rang my order up wrong recently and when I came back they apparently changed the bottles again? I wouldn't have minded if they'd been properly filled but it complicates things. On top of that these came overly carbonated and weak - I know every bottle can't be identical to the last and they claim all of it is made by batch, but the last bottle we got very recently had no hint of carbonation in it? Idk who they have stocking the supplies/bottles or ingredients or if it's a bartender substituting things this time around but consistency is a GOOD thing... At least it's not chalky like the issues I had a while ago? Idk. I like coming to this location because it's closer and I love the sangria when it's made right, but I may have to switch to the one on the other side of EP if they can stock things properly over there if that's why. Probably will still go here for convenience but 2019 is going on 5 years ago now if it's down to a chain supplier issue.

Another great day at Chelo's. Absolutely the best bar staff around. I highly recommend you sit at the bar with Tyler, Linda, or Kris or the dining room with Rebecca. My personal favorites. Food is always good and reasonably priced.

Ask for a side order of loaded mashed I asked if they sold loaded mashed potatoes the waitress informed me that they do sell loaded mashed potatoes. I got a side of mashed potatoes with not even gravy eyes are topping.
