Finally got around to trying out the new Barrington location and it was nothing short of amazing! We got there on a rainy Sat night - called ahead to see if they took reservations but were told no and that there should be no wait. We got there shortly after and were promptly seated and serviced. The new spot is def a few steps up from the old spot - updated, modern and airy. Meaghan was our waitress and was wonderful - as was all the staff. It was outstanding friendly service and efficient all at the same time. We started with the loaded tater tots and the octopus special. The octopus was cooked wonderfully and the tots were a fun appetizer to share - reminds me of my elementary school lunch if I was Richie Rich. But the spotlight goes to our entrees - I got the chicken parm with fresh rigatoni and the pink vodka sauce and he ordered veal parm with fresh bucatini and pink vodka sauce (how unoriginal ). Both were delicious! I love me a good vodka sauce and fresh pasta - my rigatoni was maybe 20 seconds short of being al dente but I'd prefer a tad harder vs soggy floppy pasta. The bucatini however was perfecto! The mister said it was one of the best veal parms he's ever had and that's a tall order to fill! All drinks were creative and tasty! And with how delicious dinner was, we had to get some dessert and they didn't disappoint! We were way too full and took the rest of dessert to go. With the nightmare that is the Washington Bridge debacle - this is a great place to support more locally, you won't be disappointed! No need to go to the Hill for some good Italian (they do serve up Portuguese fare as well) when we've got a great spot in our backyard! With apps, drinks, dinner and dessert - tax + tip was close to $200 but well worth every penny!

My husband and I ate here this evening after our son’s wrestling match at the local high school. I looked around for restaurants in the area since we are unfamiliar with Barrington. Oxford Tavern came up. I read the reviews on Yelp and decided to give them a try.Wow! We were surprised to find not only exceptional service here but also delicious food. I highly recommend the salmon piccata. This unassuming homey hometown bar/ restaurant surpassed our expectations. It is clear the owners, Alan and Lorree, take pride in their restaurant and enjoy interacting with their customers. Their daughter, Arielle, is an amazing bartender as well… personable, welcoming, and knowledgeable.By the time we left this evening, we felt like family. I wish we lived closer because this place would definitely be a regular in our restaurant rotation. Try them out if you haven’t yet- you won’t be disappointed!

The feel of Providence outside of Providence. Nice atmosphere, staff attentive. Nice / clean but most of all, the food is fresh and tasty. The dipping sauce for the spring rolls was amazing , the wings were perfect. Just a great experience

I must say this place is a hidden gem.Very pleasant atmosphere always spotless, clean. The hard-working staff are always attentive to detail, friendly, and eager to have a conversation .Every week Chef Alan presents different specials and knocks it out of the park. The food is Fantastic and always consistent. You know you’re getting Great consistency every time you order a dish.. The bartender Arielle is always spot on And will serve you well whether you’re having a dirty martini or a fiddlehead beer it is served with a smile. The seafood chowder at this place is hands-down, the best you’ll ever have in your life!!. Everything from the ribeye to the veal chops are extremely healthy portions and have a flavor second to none. This place has become my favorite go to for any kind of food or drink. Everything is made fresh and the specials every week are second to none. You get great consistency with every meal week after week with very large portions and cooked to order. The bartender and serving staff have fantastic personalities, and always eager to strike up a conversation... If you're reading this review and plan on going there, you must try the seafood chowder. It is by far hands-down the best you will ever try in your life guaranteed. This is a small, family run, business, the chef server and barmaid take pride in serving you, and they treat you like family.

This is to KikiR . I saw your review and do not agree. I have been many times in the new location and have only seen honest services ce and tables given as you come in. There are times some are waiting and then another couple comes in that is known to those waiting and they group together. I go often and despite a frequent customer, I wait with every one else. I really think the do there best! If there is a line and people waiting, then I think that speaks for itself in how good they are! People are coming and coming back for more! Willing to wait for great food, drinks and service!

I have been to the original location of Oxford Tavern which was very good so I thought I would try out our local location in Barrington. I would say to the owner or manager, you need to start taking reservations. Having people pile up at the bar and in the small waiting area with only a window sill for seating was less than thrilling. I put in my name and watched a family who knew staff come in and get seated before me. Nepotism isn't going to fly when your patrons are standing right there watching. The service was just really bad, first waiting a very long time for a sever to even come by and after eating the very spicy spaghetti sticks then having to ask multiple times for waters. In addition many drink items were not available due to not having ingredients. We waited way too long again, to even be able to order our appetizers and entrees. The salad was very tasty but I have to say while the seafood dish had good flavor, I could tell they used frozen scallops in the dish and they were undercooked which was not worth the $.I would say overall if you don't want to end up like the last restaurant in this location you better make some major changes...

We came here for dinner and WOW, were we blown away. The food was “Devine” as I say in my adultly British accent. The service was amazingly grand and the atmosphere was very cozy and welcoming. I highly recommend for affordable and exquisite food. 10-10 food and drink. In all of my years of reviewing restaurants I have never seen a place as unique and enjoyable as this one. Our server was Burkley, and he was the single best server in the whole place. Along with the stake and fries the brown sugar bunt cake was delicious and mouth watering. I highly recommend this amazing place.Parking: The parking was good with empty spacesKid-friendliness: Very good for older kids

Our server was Burkley & he was amazing. He was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I got some pasta sauce on my white shirt and he immediately offered me a napkin with soda water. Working in this industry as well, service this good is much appreciated. The food was great as well was not disappointed one bit. Highly recommend!!!! Ask for Burkley!!!!
