Today I had a surreal experience at 7 Stars. As a decades long customer I know what I order and what to expect. Today I ordered a slice of the sour dough baguette. Usually I receive a 4-5 inch slice , sometimes almost 6 ish inches. Today, the server cuts a 1 1/2" inch slice, and he thinks that's ok, so I intervene and tell him that the slice should be sideways and appropriately 4/5 inches long. Out comes my order and I receive one side of my slice. Another half order. I have to go to the counter to complain that I received a half order, then after much ado they get me the other half and I am complete but totally annoyed. I ask the server about the half order, how much is the bread? He says 3.00, I ask would you pay 3,00 for this small piece of bread, answer, no. This was a ridiculous situation, he asked if I wanted a complimentary pastry, I declined. Really too annoyed to want anything. My normal Iced Americano was good, but this was an awful way to start my day. Appalling, it seems there is no management monitoring whatsoever going on.

I’m not sure if I’m reviewing for the Rumford location or all? But the Rumford staff is so wonderful (I need to get the name of the very soft spoken young brunette woman, but she’s just the sweetest) and their food is delicious. I always laugh because whenever someone asks where I live, I get to say “I love it! I’m right by the Rumford Seven Stars!” Lol

Our neighborhood bakery that we love. There was an oversight getting my order out to me during our last visit and the staff went over and above to make it right. Much appreciate the kindness! Delicious as always.

7 Stars is In an old brick mill building that has atmosphere galore and great outdoor space. The bakery items are "well-done" to the point of sometimes being burned, the coffee is strong. The bread rivals that that I get in France, the lemon cake is amazing, sweet and tart at the same time. I like that you can buy 1/2 a loaf of bread. The counter staff is mostly nice. The bathrooms at the Rumford location are usually pretty gross, make sure you take in some napkins because you might have to clean the place a bit.

Seven Stars has multiple location in Providence, all excellent. Fantastic coffee, yummy pastries. A fave is the gingerbread muffin, peppery and unique. My go to for chilling in RI. You'll dig it.

Been here several times. Always a treat. Place is part of the old Rumford Baking Powder building. Lots of goodies and coffee to choose from. Front parking lot is tight. There is parking available in the back. Just avoid the resident parking spaces. Wish the seats were more comfortable. Restrooms are large and well kept. Definitely highly recommend for a try.

I love stopping by this place when I'm in the area. They have fantastic coffee options, and both the hot and iced lattes are delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful as well.

Perfect little place for coffee, tea, latte, pastries. The Kouign-amann is a must and by all means have it warmed up!

I am just a fan of the entire fleet of Seven Stars bakeries. They truly make the best espresso drinks. Service is always fast and efficient. Super clean and sanitary.

I would recommend this Seven Stars location if you are driving as it actually has off street parking. I would also recommend ordering online as it gets just as busy as the other Seven Star locations. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt. The meal portions tend to be on the smaller side and the prices are in line with similar artisan style bakeries around the state. I would recommend trying the cold matcha latte mixed with vanilla and almond milk. I would pass on the Breakfast Sandwich. Like me, I found it to be a little bland and just ok. The gingerbread cookies however are worth making your A1C climb a few notches.
