The Bay Voyage Inn and JB's On the water (located inside the Inn) are fully renovated and now open for the season. There is seating outside on the deck & patio, as well as comfy seating indoors. The views of Narragansett Bay and Newport Pell Bridge are lovely. We ordered the Prince Edward Island Mussels with a special sauce and served with garlic bread. This appetizer was FABULOUS!! I also ordered the caprese salad and added sautéed shrimp. Excellent choice! #rifoodieliz

What they do well is the fish and chips. Best fried fish I have had. They also have an amazing deck overlooking Narragansett bay and they allow well behaved dogs on the deck. What they don’t do well is their internet presence, you can’t find it. The old restaurant was the bay voyage it is now named JB’s on the water.

Enjoyed a light dinner and a few cocktails in newly refashioned venue sitting outside. The fresh and bright rework of restaurant area was a pleasant surprize. Both foid entrees, fish tacos and burger with prosuitto and fig were great, burger cooked to my likjng. We will be revisiting this location, as i live right in town

now check you bank balance when you come here to eat and drink. expensive,YES Great place,no outstanding yes. the food is awsome I took my wife here for a birthday and yes it was expensive but well worth every penny. All the dishes we had were like out of dream. The plating was so nice we took pictures to show family. If you have a special occasion then this is truly the place in Newport to go . The building itself is on the water with outstanding views. The lawn has another place for eating which we have honestly not tried but looks great as well.Staff is hand picked, quality all the way. If you have the means then it is a place you do not want to miss. If your budget is a bit tight then Newport has a lot of other truly great places to eat.

Coke flat, rolls toasted but cold waitress very nice and very busy by herself no help .did a good job keeping up she was only reason they get 2 stars ordered the fish and chips looked good but fish was raw and I mean raw even batter was not done. They apologized and offered free dessert or order something else but appetite was done.

We were in Jamestown and attempted to have a drink on the deck. The hours posted on the restaurant door said it opened at 4:00 PM, yet the person at the front desk/kiosk told us it would open at 5:00 PM. At 4:00 PM we attempted to enter the restaurant. It appeared that they weren’t ready for service and caught by off guard by our presence. We were then asked if we had a reservation. We said no, we only wanted to have a drink and would then be leaving. We were quickly informed the restaurant was totally booked and we could not be seated. There was not a single other party around in the restaurant or lobby and we made it clear we only wanted a single drink and would then be leaving. Still no luck. We were eventually offered the opportunity to sit on the lawn, but we were already disgusted at that point. They must have been expecting a huge party to suddenly appear and all sit at once. Having worked many years in the restaurant business, including years at the Bay Voyage, I truly believe our 20-minute request could have been honored without disrupting their reservations. Keeping in mind, the front desk didn’t even know they were open. On the other hand, business may be so good that they can turn away money. Though I doubt this is the case with everything happening in 2020. Either way, it is not the Bay Voyage of years past and I doubt I’ll ever be back. Sometimes its best to leave good memories alone.

The Bay Voyage restaurant is back to its former top rating level and absolutely fantastic!! The service was first rate, attentive and pleasant. The Chef has done an outstanding job of creating a very appealing and delicious menu. The food some of the best we have had throughout of all of RI.

Porch dining. Best fries in the area (maybe whole state!).

Beautiful view of the Newport bridge and the food was amazing! Chef came out at the end of our dinner to ask us how dinner was. Nice touch. Will be back soon.

Recently went here for the first time while visiting Jamestown for our anniversary. We were looking for a place with nice ambiance on a Thursday night and some of the other places in town were not open until Friday. Glad we picked here. Food and cocktails were great at a price that is average for the area. Chef Amir came out to say hi which is always nice and we were happy to be able to complement is work. The inn and restaurant are separately operated but they should do a better job of cross promoting each other. I noticed the Inn had no Trip Advisor Reviews but don't let that stop you from trying dinner here.

Chef visited to discuss our dinner, which was great. Lob/Mac was outstanding. Overall great recommendation with a fabulous view

We chose this restaurant because of the beautiful Bay view and the pet-friendly garden, but when our food arrived, we lost our minds. I got the tuna entree with incredible fried rice and roasted cauliflower. My husband got the spicy cod cooked in French butter which made our eyes roll back in our heads. It was a delight. The chef even came out to see how we liked the food. Highly recommend

I wish I could post the pictures we took of our dishes! WOW. The view, the service and our first meal out in months was such an amazing experience. The Chef came out to personally check on us and was open to suggestions for future specials. We love this place and wish the staff the best!

UNDER COOKED CHICKEN Parmesan, raw fish dinner one of the worst dining experience ever. Won’t ever return. Don’t want our money back. Waste of time. The owner has really let this place fall apart
