The steak frites were fantastic. Tender steak and great service

Always have a good meal. The servers are nice and the restaurant accepts everyone and treats them the same. You can get anything made to order. Also found out they are locally sourced and organic. That doesn't matter to me, but if it does, you're at the right place. It's a go to for friends and I along with our kids. It's a local staple.

We have been to Standards now several times and have found it to be very enjoyable (atmosphere, food, and service). The only thing I have to say poorly about it is the price of drinks, a little steep. Have your cocktails when you get home. But to be fair, this is true in most restaurants today.

From Wisconsin on vacation so we just stumbled in by happenstance. We were just looking for late lunch and quite possibly got the best meal of the trip! All across the board Standards exceeded any and all expectations. Best lobster bisque I’ve ever had (came with two lobster tails). The bbq burger with fried onions was cooked perfect and the French fries are awesome also. A slight bit on the spendy side but we certainly got our moneys worth. Our waitress Emma was super attentive and helpful. Would recommend to anyone in the area.

Went for the pizza and it was good!!! The ingredients are quality and it makes the difference. The menu offers nice options for meals and a delicious burger. The environment is comfortable and the servers are friendly and attentive. Excellent addition to the dining options in Jamestown.

This restaurant is a welcome addition to Jamestown! It's right on Main Street. Just a short walk from the waterfront. Inside it has an open seating plan in the main dining area, four window front tables, as well as a few high-tops across from the bar. The overall vibe casual but classy. You'll find an equal measure of locals, vacationers and boaters eating here on any given night. The staff are consistently friendly, attentive and accommodating. My wife is a vegetarian and they are always willing to work with her preferences. The pizzas are particularly good! The Standard offers Jamestown a consistently high quality, casual restaurant with a cool vibe. My personal favorite in that town!

Delicious! Both of us had delicious meals! I had one of the specials, a steak salad, one of the best steaks ever! My friend had the bolognese and it was also yummy! Jake, the owner/chef was adorable. Doing a great job!!! Can’t wait to return and try the lobster bisque!

Ordered chicken on my salad and got way too small of a serving for $10 extra. Loved everything else!

Waited 45 minutes for my $41 halibut and it was ice cold. Sent it back and watched while the others at my table finished their meals. I ate it when it came back but it came with no sides (rice, etc) since they are a La carte. Left disappointed and still hungry!

Food was excellent, service was slow. Waited about 20 minutes to get a drink. Talking with the owner the restaurant was fully booked., but still think service should be better. I would give it another shot.

What an awesome restaurant. The inside is very nice. It's just up the street from the water. The wait staff is fantastic and the kitchen is even better. Hands down the best restaurant during our week in Newport. If I could give it more stars I would. The Cesar salad was excellent. The lobster bisque was the best I have ever had anywhere. Very expensive at $32, but was incredible and comes with an entire lobster tail. The pizza was great, the lobster roll was the best one in RI, and the mushroom risotto was perfect. I would be here every week if I lived here. Great job chef!!

So, the food is significantly improved since last visit. Had lobster stew which was delicious. Also a good salad and wings that were ok. Despite these comments, it is a worthy addition to Jamestown's restaurant scene
