This is now Beech (named for the huge beech tree on the property). Natalia is a most wonderful bartender! We enjoy dining at Beech. The food is delicious and the people are so friendly!

This is about a 4.5 but there is no rating for that. Definitely high quality, and very well done--plus it sits in a unique and cozy yet elegant spot (hard to pull that off!) with a soft ambience and the shade of an inordinately large Silver Maple tree at the edge of the outdoor patio. The food is great but missing that top tier "je ne sais quoi" while the outdoor seating on a warm summer evening is nice and does have that little something that I can't quite put my finger on but I do love all the same. You will likely want to come back.

The place is beautiful and very calming after the summer season. There is a beautiful old beech tree, benches, and outdoor bar, various areas with outdoor, indoor-outdoor and indoor tables. The hostess and bartender were kind and thoughtful, and the to go order was ready quickly. The beet salad on the specials was delicious, the fish and chips was a good size portion, and the honey butter with the baguette was lovely. The mixed green salad was very small, lacked mixed greens and had a hunk of unpeeled cucumber - this was not eaten at all :o. The white bean appetizer was good in that it was warming; I would suggest renaming it so it doesn't seem like it contains a lot of white beans.

Lo and I stopped in on one beautiful evening in early September. Spacious, mostly outdoors but they can handle seating in rainy weather too, comfortably spaced tables, small, cozy bars (two open this evening). Gracious servers, smallish menu but enough options. seafood was very good. Bar tender managed the bar and served tables at the same time on this moderately busy night and made it look easy. Very interesting property under and next to an ancient beech tree. beautiful all around.

We went for dinner. The place is jumping with people. The bartenders are terrific, friendly making great drinks. There is a great vibe to the place with fantastic ambiance l They apparently have issues in the kitchen because people wait for tables and there are lots of empty tables. The menu leaves a lot to be desired but it’s probably due to kitchen issues so we make allowances during these times. Our waitress wasn’t as great as the bartender . My wife ordered 2 appetizers stating serve 1 as an appetizer and 1 as an entree. My appetizer came and nothing for my wife. After waiting we got a manager and requested my wife’s. The waitress came over and said I thought you wanted 2 entrees. Who eats 2 at the same time? We waited too long for entrees again a kitchen issue probably. I had linguini Alfredo that was tasteless. Don’t order it. It gets 3 stars thanks to the bartenders without them it would have been worse.

Lobster roll was great. Salmon over their mixed salad was delicious too.

The food is OK. Certainly not terrible, but not impressive either. I had the Paella and my wife had the Curry Chicken. The Paella was something I could absolutely have made myself at home, and I'm not a tremendous cook. Both were a bit bland. It would be a safe place to bring your grandmother or something. Drinks were solid but expensive ($15-16 a pop). Soft drinks & water were served in plastic tumblers which seemed a bit cheesy given the pricepoint. Dessert (Tiramisu and Creme Brulee) were likewise good but nothing special. The real knockout here is the ambiance. We were upstairs on the deck overlooking the patio below and it was just beautiful. A really wonderful lovely space and very enjoyable to just be there. Service was fantastic. I would likely go back for the ambiance even if the food is mediocre. If they stepped up the food it would be a real winner.

What a treat. Far more elegant than the $$ out of $$$$ suggests. I can’t speak to eating here during cooler weather, but our outside dining was really special. The restaurant is beautiful and the lighting of the large beech tree is really cool. The food matched the ambience which is to say it was great. Something for everyone.

This restaurant was wonderful! We did not have a long wait and then seated under beautiful garden lights. Our food was delicious.
