They were very busy but did a good job getting orders out fairly quickly

Really amazing baked goods. Their porch is so relaxing! I don’t love the coffee they serve (they make it well, I just don’t care for the taste of the beans). The gluten free goodies were much appreciated!
We stopped for some lunch here while sight seeing and it was excellent! A really cool spot and very welcoming, we had actually planned to come earlier in the week but it was closed because of unforeseen circumstances. So glad we came back a couple of days later, great sandwiches!

What you want in a summer town coffee shop. A wide porch and expansive sitting area provide a comfy tree-covered oasis to sip coffee and enjoy food. Prices are fair and staff is friendly.

Immediately the spread of freshly baked goods caught my eye and I couldn't decide when I wanted, so I got multiple! Delicious food. Very friendly service. Wonderful atmosphere. Enjoyable way to start my 2nd day at the Newport Jazz Festival!

Stopped here as part of the #BestIcedCoffeeRI challenge with RI Food Fights. I visited ~35 coffee shops in Rhode Island during the month, and Village Hearth was my favorite by quite a ways. The vibe, food, and coffee were all top notch. I'll definitely be back!

I came to Village Hearth for the first time because of the RI Food Fights Iced Coffee Challenge and oh. my. gosh. This place is amazing -- beautiful location with so many plants it felt like an oasis, the coffee was great, the pastries were delicious (with multiple GF options!) and the staff was so friendly. Plus it's right across from the newly renovated and expanded Jamestown Library. What else could you want?! I will definitely be back and bringing everyone I know.

This cafe is GORGEOUS and the food is so so good! I tried an iced coffee because of the RI Food Fights iced coffee celebration and also ordered a ham and asiago scone. I didn't realize the scone was gf so I was shocked because you couldn't even tell!! The gardens are so pretty and the inside was lovely as well. Definitely worth a visit!

Obsessed with this spot. If I lived locally, it’d be my go-to. Fresh, delicious food, gorgeous baked goodies—plus it’s dog-friendly with good WiFi.

They were so rude! We came in at 1:46 thinking we made it just in time bc they close at 2. Even turning us away politely I would have understood. But to be so obnoxious. Close at 130 if you want. If you're open then be welcoming. Will never try this place again.
Great coffee and breakfast sandwiches with vegetarian options. It's a cozy spot to grab some food just North of downtown!

Beautiful spot on the island! Customer service was amazing, bought a nice assortment of desserts for a party and the gluten free were a huge it!

Stopped in here on the way to Beavertail to get breakfast to go. The service was good and very pleasant. My wife and I had a breakfast sandwich on a Portuguese muffin. The two sandwiches we had were tasty with fresh eggs, a good amount of bacon on one and sausage on the other. The bacon was cooked well and of good quality. The sausage could have had a little more seasoning however was not bad overall. We also got a blueberry scone, ham and Asiago scone and a chocolate chip cookie. Unfortunately did not enjoy any of the three. The cookie had a grainy texture instead of soft and chewy, also did not like the taste. The two scones were more of a cake like texture and the blueberry one needed more blueberries. We would go back for a breakfast sandwich however not for the pastries

Don’t look at the hours because they will close early or randomly. I came in 20 minutes before closing with a 3 yo who was starving. They couldn’t even offer a ham sandwich. They turned me away. Not customer friendly.
