Denys was an amazing experience thanks to April! She delivered excellent service — very attentive, warm, and welcoming. It’s no surprise she is so highly mentioned in other reviews. Came here for dinner and whole waitstaff and kitchen staff were hanging outside had to let staff know a customer was waiting to be seated. Pancakes tasted off.. definitely needs new management or different staff

Picked up a Lumberjack Slam with chocolate chip pancakes from the Johnston, RI Denny’s on 8/11/25 at 10:45 pm. Found a gross brown object between the pancakes and chocolate chips. Really disappointed and concerned about food safety.

Kaylene is an excellent waitress who provided a pleasant and welcoming experience. This was during the overnight around 1am. The only negative part of the experience was the blasting rap and other kinds of music from a Bluetooth speaker or sound system separate from the restaurant background sound system. The background sound system which plays really nice 70s music could barely be heard. I would return because of the service but not for the blasting music playing from a separate sound system than the restaurant.

Im not one to leave reviews unless you really make impression on me. The food was amazing and the restaurant was very clean but this review is mainly for the amazing server we had today at Denny’s. April don’t stop being you and continue to be that happy bubbly self!! Your hard work didn’t go unnoticed today, you went above and beyond for me and my husband I couldn’t be anymore grateful. To the manager you should think of training more people to be like her, you should feel very lucky and grateful to have April on your team.
