10/10 would recommend. I've been a customer more than a few times and never disappoints, everything is made with love.. hence the hearts, lol I would say the roots is my favorite.. a pastelito stuffed with Dominican breakfast, never had anything like it!

The pricing for the quantity is not "mathing" for me. In RI, there are many Spanish restaurants, but their empanadas are double the size for half the price! Capricho's in Pawtucket, Dinora's in Providence, La Gran Parada etc etc. pandemicextortion

As a business owner and foodie, words cannot describe the love and appreciation I have for discovering Matilda RI last weekend on Wickenden Street. I'd been searching for good empanadas since I moved back from LA where I had them often, and found even better empandas at Matilda's food truck!
I was so moved by the beautiful, heart-shaped empanadas and how incredibly tasty they were as well as the fries, which were utter perfection! But was also moved by the kindness of the young lady working that day. I asked for a business card and learned of the heart-warming story behind Matilda RI on their website and the inspiration Chef Tony's abuelita (Ana Matilde) has brought to him and their family.
Chef Tony, you have created a business made with love that will draw in similar people to continue to support you all. Your abuelita must be so proud! Keep up the great work! My family and I look forward to eating more of your amazing food ?
