I've loved Matilda's for years, and I'm always so excited when they turn up at an event I'm attending. So it was a no brainer for me to book them for my wedding. I cannot recommend them enough! The empanadas are delicious, with so many different ones to choose from! They are punctual, and kind, and their prices are beyond reasonable. They really helped to make our day special and our guests continue to rave about them. Beyond their great food, Tony and Darlene are valuable members of the community and I'm always so grateful for an opportunity to partner with them.

These were the best empanadas I’ve ever had. Just don’t tell my mom. Lol. I grew up eating empanadas and these were delicious. I had the Cuban and the ingredients were perfect. The most important thing is that they weren’t greasy. The people working at the truck were so so friendly.

We booked Matilda RI's food truck for a community outreach kid's event, and they were amazing! Everyone loved their empanadas and plantain chips, especially their very kid-friendly mac & cheese empanadas which sold out quickly. My personal favorite was the slow roast, and they also had many delicious vegetarian/vegan options. Their empanadas were flavorful, their fillings far from dry, and their pastry shells flaky.
Plus, how could you not love heart-shaped empanadas? Seeing the kiddos running around with heart empanadas in their hands was an added treat.
Even though they are based in Rhode Island, I saw Matilda RI listed on the City of Boston's website for food truck events, and was happy to learn they were willing to drive to Boston to feed us!
Overall, the Matlida RI team was great to work with. They are very professional (for example, they got all the necessary permits needed without us prompting them), had a wide selection of family/kid friendly food options, and brought a wonderful, inviting energy with them to our event. I would absolutely book Matilda RI again!

I cannot recommend Matilda Empanadas enough! My dad loved empanadas, so I ordered 200 for his Celebration of Life. They were so kind, accommodating, and easy to work with. The empanadas were delivered fresh out of the oven, and were beyond delicious. Their signature heart shape was perfect for this occasion. I am very grateful!

Spotted Matilda Empanadas food truck from Providence at the Central Square Night Market in Boston. The line was long, which is always a good sign! I had the Cuban Jamón y Queso and a Beef Mac & Cheese empanada, plus a side of fries. Though I was skeptical about the mac & cheese with beef combo it turned out to be pleasantly surprising. Both empanadas were delicious. Fries were crispy, and I love that the empanadas are heart shaped. Such a cute, unique touch. Definitely a tasty stop!

The lady uncharged us and said that the plantain’s were included with the empanadas. Each empanadas is about $7.00 I ordered 2 which should’ve been $14.00. Ended up paying $23.00 very misleading.
