We Love the entire experience, it wa our 39th anniversary. Our service was great and we really appreciated the Champagne it was for us to celebrate our anniversary. We ordered Chicken Masala highly recommend it. We surely will be back, I can't see how you can beat this restaurant.
Everything was wonderful, from greeting to delicious appetizers (stuffed mushrooms), lunch and great service. Highly recommended!
The seating as requested was perfect, the restaurant was not as crowded as usual, so the noise level was quiet which we love. Great vegetarian, and even vegan choices finally... and not just as add-ons but actually on the menu. Delighted!!! The Pomodora sauce is super delish!
Second timing dining at Trattoria Romano and was again very impressed. Appetizers of clams casino and stuffed mushrooms, mushrooms maybe the best I've had. Had a sea bass special that was phenomenal. The also make excellent drinks. Will definitely be back.
haven't gone recently but here's what I remember like 5 years later. food and service were great. food was pricey but eh, it is what it is. you pay for garbage, you get garbage.
got some weird tree inside and colors, tables, andd stuff are kind of clashy but not bad. very nice quality on furniture so I can't complain
you won't be disappointed, but don't order like an American.

Food is excellent! Bathrooms were filthy, paper towels were obsolete litter on the floor. (Update) Came again bathroom clean but still no paper towels or dryer.

Service was really pretty poor we didn't have silverware. Took a really long time for us to get silverware when we finally did. Is highly recommend the egg plant fries.

My husband and I had the specials which were the swordfish and filet. They were absolutely the best. The staff are always so pleasant from the minute you walk in the door! Can't wait to go back.
This is a first rate restaurant, not cheap but food absolutely worth it. The specials change regularly so the menu is varied. Specials are the surprise but the regular menu is your go to. It is pretty and the service is pretty much exceptional. They do make special requests easy. This is one of our go to restaurants when we are getting together with the family for a special occasion. We had on little one that all she ate was bread, pasta with butter and parmesan cheese on the side for years....she is 13 and just beginning to explore. It is my absolute favorite in RI.

We were 6 diners who thoroughly enjoyed the Sunday Extravaganza. I had been there 2x before when my son lived in Johnston and knew it would be the perfect place to take my family for the day after his wedding. Everyone raved about their meals from fish to Chicken Scarpiello, Chicken with eggplant, to my personal favorite Luciano's Sunday gravy (which 2 others also ordered). As did all my guests, I'm sure you'll enjoy anything you order. GO, enjoy the ample portions, and mangia to your heart's content!
We had a wonderful evening with Jess last night. We always say our waiter is a part of our meal and she never disappoints... Trattoria is a wonderful dining experience and top notch edit staff adds so much more to an incredible dining venue !!
I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The menu was mostly in a moderate price range offering entrees between $20 and $30 but the specials were quite expensive ranging up as high as $65. The atmosphere was delightful and the ambiance was quiet for ease of conversation. Our waitress was very congenial and bantered back and forth with us throughout the evening. She presented the specials accurately mentioning the price of each as she described them in detail. She checked in with us on occasion to see if everything was satisfactory or if we were in need of any additional assistance. Overall, I would give this an A rating and will definitely be returning in the future.
food was good, service was great, waitress was very helpful. value was just ok. thought upcharges for sides when offered sides were not what we wanted were pricey. wine price was high, a glass was equal to a bottle at retail. will go back in a few months but not as regular as in the past.
We had another great dining experience at Trattoria Romana in Johnston! The food was delicious and I highly recommend trying the stuffed mushrooms! Simply wonderful! The ambiance was special as it is always. A gem of a restaurant in Johnston!
