Funny…they deleted an employees perspective on the place that I saw way back around July/August. Sad that a restaurant can’t take constructive criticism from its own staff. Won’t be going here, wouldn’t recommend it either.

Waited 15 mins for a smoothie with only 2 customers in the place. I ended up leaving keep the $$ won’t go here again

I come to this Tropical Smoothie Cafe pretty regularly and the experience is always top notch all around and the food/smoothies always come out perfect! Definitely recommend

Manager that works in the Johnston location seems to think because her son owns Tropical Smoothie that she can talk down and treat the younger kids any type of way and hold their jobs against them because “her son owns Tropical Smoothie. Its WRONG! On so many levels. Pray that none of their young family members have to experience disrespect and or wrong doing jus because “MY SON OWNS THIS PLACE” is an answer

The Food and drink at this location are top tier
Compared to the other, the food is hot, not warm/cold, and the detox island green tastes like all the ingredients are blended and balanced. Vs tasting solely like one ingredient yesterday morning, the staff was excellent.

The smoothies are fine, but they need to do better training at this location. I came in to redeem a promotional card I received when they first opened two months ago. The young man who served me was air-headed - asking who signed this and was it valid? Why would I know that? After staring at the card for a few minutes and asking me if I work at Tropicana Smoothie he went and got his manager who quickly handled the issue. He then tried to tell her “I know how to redeem it, I’m just was wondering if its valid.” How ignorant and stupid. She seemed tired and over it and didn’t even respond to his comments. I have made a few purchases here since opening day without any type of promo and it’s not the first time I’ve had to deal with someone completely out of it. If I order from here again it will be through the app. There is a young lady there who is polite and smart but she almost always working in the kitchen, unfortunately.

I order often from TSC in johnston. I just received my delivery and my order was not only missing the chips but I also got the incorrect cookie.

Kassidy was so sweet and so was the other girl working with her- both went above and beyond for both of my orders- can’t want to come back to this location- much closer than Cranston too which is nice! Thank you girls

Recommended dishes: Smoothie and a Wrap, Chia Banana Boost, Caribbean Jerk Chicken

Order the berry blast smoothie and ask them to add pomegranate charge me for the pomegranate but pomegranate was not in the smoothie. When I tried to ask for help rectifying the situation I was completely ignored

I stopped in on my lunch break to get a wrap and smoothie. The staff were very nice but seemed disorganized. The restaurant was very clean with a lot of seating options. Only negative is the time that it took. I waited 20 minutes for one wrap. This location newly opened and the cashier stated they are short staffed. I don’t recommend ordering inside if you don’t want to wait lengthy times, seems like they prioritize online ordering as opposed to the customers who walk in. Great food though not worth waiting 20 minutes for.
