First time ever going and the bag happened to rip and spill food in the parking lot. Steve, I assume, came out and offered to remake the food that had spilled. So so kind of him. And once we got home, VERY good sushi!!! I really recommend!! Support small businesses!

I’ve been coming here for years, and nothing else compares! Steve, the owner, is incredibly kind. If you’re a regular, he’ll treat you to miso soup on chilly days and offer samples while you wait—but I’ve never had to wait long. There are plenty of traditional rolls to choose from, and if you’re unsure what to order, he’ll ask about your preferred protein and create something special just for you. I absolutely love this place and recommend it to everyone I know! The best thing on the menu is the Crab Crunch Handroll ... delicious!

Saw the good reviews so I thought I would try it. Very disappointed, it was like gas station sushi. (Never doing that again...) Newport roll was okay, but the tempura shrimp roll was horrible - warmed up in the microwave and a bit tough. Much better choices around the area.

Best sushi place in Rhode Island. The prices are very cheap and the food is absolutely amazing. Getting the food was absolutely fast and was very good. Small restaurant, but it doesn't get very busy. Parking is very easy to find!

Very good quality handmade sushi and excellent service at a reasonable price. Owner is very friendly and passionate about his business. When it comes to sushi in particular, I am very picky, but the food quality and service keep bringing me back in. The dining space is relatively small, but I typically order to-go. Highly recommend this restaurant to any sushi enthusiasts.

I hate to do this because as an asian american i love so much to support asian businesses. When i saw the astounding reviews of this place I was like I have to try it!

I write this review now because amongst all the kind reviews speaking of how customers were treated by the shop owner, i was treated very strangely and differently for no apparent reason.

I walk in and decide ill get something simple since it was just before 11 AM. So i look at the sides on the menu and saw he offers a side of sushi rice 3.50$ and add avocado 1.00$. This sounds perfect, so I ask if i can get that and he kind of chuckles, smiles and says no and i just laugh back thinking he's joking, then he looks back down to his work station so i look at my phone.

Maybe a minute or so goes by and he goes "what do you want?" and im like "oh i said just wanted your side of sushi rice with some avocado" Hes like "oh no" and im very confused now so i ask "oh? You dont have avocado?" And he says "no i have it, Im not making that though."

What...? It isn't like i asked for something random off menu... my request was very simple, and explicitly named on his menu. I walk away wondering why i was treated this way?
