After a day touring Newport on our way back to Boston, we came upon Anthony's, it was a Saturday Night and parking lot was FULL, usually means good food. We were not dissapointed. Ordered the calamari, clam steamers, and lobster roll, all were very good. Of course everybody wishes the lobster roll was bigger, but I understand...lololol. You order up, sit and they bring you the food, busy night, but resonable service, and prices. Would recommend!

Excellent! Ordered fish and chips- Cod, clam chowder and crab cakes. Everything was so good, friendly staff Chowder was great, crab cakes was loaded with crab and the fish and chips were perfect, the cod was crispy yet so tender. Fries were the same! Highly recommend.

Discovered Anthony’s while on vacation here in Newport; have been back twice and planning on returning again, today. Why? Totally unassuming, perfectly overachieving. We enjoyed the Nantucket Casserole and the Portuguese chowder. Fish was very tasty, moist not overcooked and the assortment and quantity of fish, scallops and shrimp was generous We enjoyed the roasted potatoes and then used some to wipe up the buttery sauce afterwards. We tried the crab cake; although very crabby, it didn’t rise to the level of the other two dishes we enjoyed. Staff was welcoming, accommodating and friendly. Forget the tourist trap restaurants, go where the locals go!

Just an absolutely outstanding seafood shack type restaurant! My baked scallops were perfect. So delicious... The coleslaw and corn was outstanding too! My wife had the fish tacos. She greatly enjoyed her meal.

Great lunch spot. Not fancy but delicious. I had flounder and chips and husband had shrimp. Both were plenty and served quickly and piping hot.

I like the local feel, but my fish tacos were nothing special at all. Beans, cheese and other unexpected fillings overshadowed the fish (a decent amount of fish and still it got lost).

We have been coming here for years and it never disappoints. Fresh lobster, fish tacos, chowder, shrimp, calamari, salmon, swordfish — you name it they do it right, and with the best quality! Even their steamed broccoli is delicious and perfectly flavored! A town staple for townies and a must visit for tourists.

The staff is extremely friendly. The prices are a little higher but of course, it is Newport. The food is definitely worth the trip from northern RI.
