We got married at Shepherds Run this April and still dream about our food tasting last fall and even more so our wedding food selections! (Photos attached of mostly the amazing desserts! The mini donuts were insane!) We had so many compliments from our wedding guests at how delicious our wedding food is! We’re a little bit bias but typically we’re not fans of wedding food at other weddings but blackstone is 10/10, and we still crave the raviolis on a normal basis! From apps, entrees and desserts it was seriously all amazing. Not to mention how accommodating they were to food allergies and picky eaters… we literally had a guest ask for mashed potatoes while seated at the wedding and they pulled through! I got married at Rosecliff in April 2024 and used Blackstone. I mainly went with Blackstone because it seems like most people use it or that's how instagram shows it.Let me start off by saying your quote will depend on where you are getting married at. And expect your final invoice to be able double. Rosecliff, being expensive, will obviously be more expensive for the same exact food if the wedding is held elsewhere.I would say, triple check your bills. Linens and tableware will be through peak event rental. Peak actually has prices online, Blackstone will charge you more. When asked why, there was no specific reason, because peak still had a delivery fee etc added on top.When going through the linens, extra linens were added to the quote. I was only told when I asked that these charges would come off and were only there just in case we needed those linens for different tables, since I was getting married during the beginning of a higher season and just to have them pre-reserved.I found that hard to believe. I got married during a lower season.You will also get charged for an equipment total which the price for us only went down $2 per person from the original quoted and upgraded many things.My BIGGEST complaint was that I specifically asked for the guest to be served cake, since the cake was very expensive. I even told them to pass it around with the late night snacks if more cake was available. After talking to most of my guests, about 80% of them didn’t have cake. A few of them even had to ask for cake. Another downfall I heard after was that some of my guests weren’t even done eating dinner, and they kept trying to pick up dishes. My thought is that they wanted to clean the tables asap to be done for the night.Also, for my signature drink, I asked for salt on the rim. No salt was on the rim.Seems like they disregarded the little things.I didn’t rate it a 1-2 because people said the food was good. However, not amazing.

We planned our November 2023 Providence wedding from Los Angeles, and the Blackstone team (especially Gina!) made it seamless despite the long distance planning.Blackstone is truly a full service event caterer and worth every penny. They thought of every detail and took care of things that weren't even on my radar until they brought them up. More importantly they were super responsive, clear and transparent in their communication, and had endless patience for my questions and requests. We got married at the Roger William's Botanical Center and had to bring in everything ourselves, and Blackstone was essential in leading the entire wedding flow, rentals, etc. and everything else. We did have a Day of Coordinator to help with our DIYs, florals, and non-food timeline which was super important.And of course I haven't even started on the FOOD. Absolutely delicious!! Our guests were blown away. One major highlight was the customization of the "RI seafood" app station to include some Maryland seafood favorites as well to honor both my husband and my hometowns. Huge hit with the guests.Also the servers on the night of the wedding were wonderful! In the current climate where so many food & bev companies are short staffed, we felt like we were in great hands the entire night.I can't thank Gina, Dada, and the entire Blackstone staff enough!! I just wish we could get married again and do it all over.
