A proper diner! We were in town from NYC for a wedding and needed 'fuel' for our ride home. THE BREAKFAST POTATOES ARE FANTASTIC HERE! We had the regular breakfast but it was a notch above most diner's. The service was warm and inviting from all servers and the front of house. Highly recommended if you're in Newport and looking for an affordable place to eat with a typically expansive menu.

Our hotel clerk recommended this restaurant which was just down the street. He stated that they served breakfast all day as it was their specialty. He was right! It was delicious! We had strawberry waffle, blueberry waffle, and chocolate chip waffle each with a side order of crisp bacon! Our server, Galen, was awesome!

At blue plate dinner, apparently they don’t know how to make an omelette if it’s not 3 eggs and even if you do accept the number of eggs in your omelette that you build they don’t know how to remove 2 yolks… A joke

The special fall menu here is insanely good. I had pumpkin soup and apple caramel pancakes. Their year-round jalapeño cornbread is also amazing. And every time I come in here the service is friendly. This is my go-to for weekend brunch or even just a quick dinner during the week.
