Customer service was 10/10, I came in for my pizza since Slice said it was ready and it was a few more minutes till it was done. The man making the pizza and working the register offered to bring it out to my car, above and beyond! I’m from out of town but have a Checkers in the town I’m from and would definitely eat here again.

Worked an event in Newport and tried to find somewhere to eat at almost 9pm on way home. Read the great reviews and decided to stop in. Pizza was absolutely fabulous. I had a margarita pizza and my husband the buffalo chicken pizza. Loved the marinara, sometimes its too acidic, or too much black pepper, to thin or too chunky this was none of those and just perfect. And the crust was light and crunchy but still has some substance….sooo good. My husband enjoyed his as well and was happy that the chicken was grilled not fried. They were super busy with deliveries and pickups. The phone was ringing off the hook, they had 3 delivery drivers out and people were still waiting for an hour for delivery but they were making sure to tell people that in phone. We waited about 30 minutes or so after we placed the order but it was fine, had some tables and chairs that were new and clean. Staff was super curtious and made sure to thank us and wish us a nice weekend on the way out. I would highly recommend, we’ll be back!!

We picked up a couple of party pizzas from here, and I have to say, we were not disappointed! They were soooo good! There were many complimentary remarks about the deliciousness made at the party. From the time of the order made by phone, to when I picked up the pizzas, the service was fantastic. They are my go-to for pizza from now on. I would highly recommend Checkers!

Delicious vegetarian specialty pizzas! We honestly weren’t expecting much from the only place open late at night near our hotel. Then we saw all the vegetarian and vegan options on the menu and decided on two special small pizzas instead of the large cheese we were about to order. The whole family was thrilled! The ingredients were so good and it was perfectly cooked. They even threw in a couple free beverages due to the unexpected wait to pick up.
I believe this is the second actual review that I have actually posted, and I have to say this Pizza is some of the best pizza I have had ever. Their service is phenomenal and the prices are legit. I've been in the Middletown area for about a week and a half and I have been there four times already. If you like pizza, you eat pizza here and you will love it. I'm about to go again tonight!!! Try it out.

If you are looking for a home style mom and pop type pizza place with top notch pizza in the state of Rhode Island, this is your place! As soon as I walked in, the owner, Dave, was happy to welcome me and and ask what I wanted to eat. I ordered a slice of pepperoni and a root beer. We talked for a minute while the slice heated up and he gave me a short story of the places history. Checkers has been serving Newport since January 6th 1985. In 1999-2000, Dave sold all 11 of his stores and decided that was it. In late 2023, Dave was driving past his old business location and saw the building was up for rent and decided to open back up in November of 2023 with the same staff and same amazing food! If you are in Newport, Checkers is a must-stop at location!

Just tried Checkers for the first time and it’s incredible. I’ve been looking for a new pizza place and Ive found it. The small pizza is pretty generous in size with a good amount of toppings and the crust is incredible. 100% will be ordering again. I want to try the Sicilian style next time.
