Coddington Brewing Company

On a recent trip to Middletown, Rhode Island, my family made a return visit to the Coddington Brewery. We’ve been here several times and have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is warm, comfortable seating and a nice bar area. Pictured is the Turkey Platter which has all the flavors of a home Thanksgiving meal. Also pictured is the Roast Beef Club; delicious! Any of the burgers and sandwiches would be a good choice and there are more formal type dinners offered. It being a brewery, there is always a nice selection of beer. Try this place; you’ll like it and want to go back.

Excellent food. Steak tips were perfect and broccoli not over cooked. Server was pleasant, knowledgeable and attentive. Highly recommend.

The beers are great. The turkey platter was great, a generous portion as well as the stir fry. The green salad was also generous and to top it all.off a serving as mud pie which was off the charts. The bartender Tom was very nice and very efficient!

Nothing to complain about. Beer was good, food was good. I guess if anything, more flavors for the wings would be nice. But the Tequila Lime wings were really good.

Really good food and beer. Not many vegetarian options. Appetizers were super expensive, so we didn't get any (nachos were $16).

The bartender was very rude. I tried to get his attention by saying excuse me, sir and he gave me a dirty look and proceeded to ignore me until he waited on others, when all I wanted was to close out my tab and move to a table. He eventually gave me his attention, I asked about the beer and he was very short. Made me feel very unwelcome. Food was good though and the waitress was amazing!!

It has been 5 months since I left Newport and last night I literally dreamt of their buffalo chicken dip. This place is a gem.

If you want what is *literally* the order of my dreams, it was buffalo chicken dip, blueberry ale and a lobster bisque.

Food was excellent. Ruben was superb. The beer, however, was middle of the road. Drinkable, not bad. Compared to how good the food was, perhaps I was just expecting better. I like my IPAs and porters with more body.
