Excellent lunch during Newport Restaurant Week. Such a good deal, 2 generous courses for $20. It runs through 11/16/25, don't miss it!
We arrived at an off time-Friday at 10:30am-and the place was empty. Service was great but it was a buffet mostly with some a la carte. Food was decent, made to order. Not much ambiance due to the empty room-not their fault! Bland room design (browns and beige) didn't help. It's a hotel restaurant that also serves as a large function room.
I loved the atmosphere. Jazz was playing that night which was an added bonus. Server was pleasant and friendly. Birthday meal filet with lobster sauce was outstanding! Broiled scallops and spinach risotto fabulous. The baked scrod with newberg is a family favorite. We had pear martinis which were so festive and delicious! Perfect for the season. Highly recommend this dining experience. Maria Kenney and Angela Volpicelli
There were 5 of us for dinner. I ordered salmon for dinner which I like very rare. I asked to make sure the chef could make it that way. My first salmon came out medium. My second one came out rare but it was ice cold with ice crystals in the middle. Obviously it was not throughly defrosted. Everyone else's food was fine but nothing special for what is billed as an exceptional seafood restaurant. Our server was very good & very gracious. Management only charged me 50% of the price for my salmon meal.
VERY casual. We were obviously dining in the area they use for the breakfast buffet for hotel guests. Service was great and the food was great.
Only had breakfast buffet very good

Had a very nice visit with friends with great food, service and beverages. Our server was Lori S., a friendly face from previous visits. All was very good. We'll be back.
Great variety for every tastebud and pocketbook. The food we ordered was spectacular in appearance and taste. Loved the setting - ocean view!
We sat outside next to the fire pit. Beautiful day evening out and a great meal.

We had a nice server, but overall the service was very slow. It took quite a while to get our drinks, food, and to have someone check in on us. Unfortunately, the staff didn't seem very familiar with food allergies, which made it a bit stressful. Definitely some room for improvement.

We were a party of 9 and had dinner there everything was great! We got there before the dinner rush and we sat outside. I had the littlenecks zuppa, boiled lobster and we shared the appetizers calamari, clam cakes, chowder, and flatbreads for the kids. everything was awesome. our server Kyla was great. The atmosphere was nice and calm. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of the food!! Wouldn't mind going here again!

I never leave 1 star review. If I’m going leave review I always give the business 5 star because I know how it helps. But the way I was treated Friday at the check in by Liz was very rude. I made 8pm dinner reservation and drove 1 hour to the restaurant. Upon arrival with attitude Liz tells me that the kitchen is very backed up that they are not seating anyone til they catch up! She said don’t know when will that be if I want step aside and stand over there . I was confused and explained to her that I drove 1 hour and it’s 8pm too late to regroup I have no choice but to wait, where is over there that I could wait ? She once again gave me attitude because I was getting the vibe that she wanted us to leave not wait. I asked for her name and her entire attitude changed by then it was too late, I rather spend $200 on dinner & drinks somewhere that knows how talk to customers even if they are busy so we left. It’s just poor service, seems like they don’t know how to run busy restaurant. I went back on open table and again I see bunch of available times for dinner and I picked time again just see it and let me book it. If they so busy they can easily call the customers let them know unfortunately they not taking anymore reservations instead of letting people book it and drive there to just be turned down. Very disappointing.

We love Johnny's! The food has gotten much better in the past few years. The stuffed shrimp used to be the only thing I liked, but I have tried some new dishes recently and loved them. I had the salmon last night and it was delicious!! Seafood Parma is also great. Love the clam Zuppa appetizer. Would love if they would make a seafood Zuppa entree some time in the future!
Great restaurant! We ate three times throughout the week- once dine in and two times room service. All the items were delicious and fresh. Service was quick and Abigail(?) was so kind.
