Newport Vineyards & Restaurant

We came in (mid-February) right as the restaurant was opening. We specifically came to Newport in the off season to avoid crowds, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit today. For the first hour, we were the only people there. We each did wine flights and found a few wines we enjoyed enough to buy in bottles on our way out. We had a wonderful seat in front of the fireplace, which was really peaceful. We had the clam chowder, mushroom toast, and then we each had one of the salads. My beet salad was delicious, and the added salmon was perfectly cooked, with a nice crisp sear and great seasoning. I can see how this place must be extremely busy in warmer weather, but we loved coming in to enjoy the quiet and winter ambiance.

We did the wine tour and ate at the restaurant, and everything was absolutely great and tasty! It was my first time visiting with friends, and we loved every part of the experience.

This place is great. We did the wine tour and tasting, the guide was knowledgeable and really personable. The service was a bit slow, but our server was great. We will definitely be back.

We had our wedding here and it was an amazing day!! Jenna and Lily were so helpful all day and we could not have done it without them. We also received endless compliments on the food serviced and it could not have been a better day!! We are incredibly grateful!!

I recently did a wine tasting here and had such a great time! It included a tour where we got to see how all the wine is made and learned about the process. Susan was so informative and friendly. She really made it such a great afternoon!! We will certainly be returning soon

Drink orders were wrong, waited over an hour for our food, and it was somehow burnt and undercooked at the same time. They can’t make any substitutions to the menu, and if you’d like anything to go on your stack of plain toast, that’ll be an additional charge as well. Spent $40 on a meal comparable to someone’s first day cooking at Waffle House. If there was anything redeemable, the house fries were pretty okay.

First time here, super cool venue and space. Definitely enjoyed hanging out and service was good. Food was fine. Not bad but not great. The cookie dessert was the most memorable item. I’d return but make my food focused around apps instead of the meals.

Great place and experience! Quite possibly the best wings I’ve ever had. Darcy was amazing!! So many good wines and beers to choose from, my wife and I had to do multiple flights!! Would recommend not missing this place in a visit to Rhode Island!
