Extremely disappointing experience. We had 6:30 PM reservations and were seated promptly. It was a fixed-price menu, and we ordered right away. We received our drinks and soup, but after waiting about 90 minutes with no entrée, I asked for an update and was told it would be coming out soon. Ten minutes later, we were informed they had run out of steaks. After such a long wait with no communication, we decided to leave.

Went there yesterday and had reservations for 730. When we got there we were standing waiting for the hostess to greet us. After 30 min of waiting still no one came over to seat us and there were 5 ppl working the floor. Ended up asking other customers if they gave been waiting awhile out loud. Still no one came over or apologized for the wait or inconvenience and actually allowed us to just walk out. Terrible service and ignorant staff. Would never go to this restaurant again nor would I recommend it to anyone.

We had 7 pm reservations on Valentine's Day, arrived a few minutes early and stood and waited next to their sign that said "wait here a server will be with you shortly" we were behind another couple who said they got their a few minutes before us and said no one even acknowledged they were waiting and said a standard restaurant saying "we will be with you shortly " after being completely ignored for another 10 minutes we left for another restaurant who served us well!! The staff, who we could see from about ten feet away never acknowledged us, not even a look over... The other couple was still waiting when we walked out. Also, we could see there were plenty of open tables to seat us, just terrible!!

We were there over an hour had to ask about our salad when it came out wasn't very good. Over an hour later was told they were out of the steak ordered please choose something else. Continued waiting and then left after 2 hours still no entree. They did comp everything but 2 drinks

Original disappointment with menu online, not matching what was provided, and then they were out of a lot of items we tried to order. Service was very slow for the amount of patrons in there during the duration of our dinner.

Was staying at the Pell for a business trip, and the Helmway was great! The atmosphere is very relaxing; they even had different events throughout the week. The bartender, Lynn, was so friendly and made perfect drinks and was so accommodating. The food was outstanding. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

The food is average at best, too much oil used in the eggs and toast. The service is fine although our waiter was definitely overwhelmed and it showed. It is a convenient spot to grab a quick bite if you're staying at The Pell.

The bar & restaurant are very classy. The staff was very customer oriented & the environment lovely. The food was not as good as we expected. The chowder was flavorful, but not fresh. I had the ravioli, which was not as good as described. Their food is pre-prepared, not put together by an actual chef.

The restaurant is lovely and the staff is great!! The bar is very nicely laid out and pretty. The restaurant and hotel were decorated very nicely for the holidays. The food was good but the menu was a tad limited and a little pricey. We didn't stay over but I'm assuming it would be very convenient if staying at The Pell.
So extremely grateful for my experience at The Helmway Restaurant. We were served by Lynn who treated us grace, kindness, patience and world class hospitality. Amazing service!

I wouldn't recommend eating here if you don't have a hotel food credit. Basically, it is airport food, it is mediocre. We ate a breakfast and a dinner. The staff is extremely kind, but they are understaffed so the service is slow.

First time visit to this restaurant since the building changed hands and was completely recovered and reimagined. We were there for a Thanksgiving dinner and were not disappointed. Turkey was perfectly cooked and most. Green beans, mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce were outstanding. Stuffing was flavorful but very dry. Small piece of simple sweet potato pie was topped with unmelted mini marshmallows dusted with cinnamon. Very nice modern atmosphere. Exceptional service. We will definitely return.
