My wife had a craving for some whole belly fried clams and our usual spot was closed for the season. She suggested Jim's dock. I went there and ordered a pint of clam chowder and the fried clam dinner to go. The new england chowder was very good although the 6 pakages of oyster crackes were stale. After spending a total of $56.71 including tax we got a fried clam dinner with a very small portion of clams. Mostly french fries, cole slaw, lemon slices and tartar sauce, all packed in a styrafoam box in an expensive tyvek bag. The clams were not good and did not taste fresh. They seemed like they had been thawed and refrozen multiple times. The water-side views and atmosphere was great, but the food quality and absurd price was very disapponting. I will not be visiting Jim's dock again.

The food is not good and overpriced for the quality—especially the poke bowl, which had no protein and wasn’t fresh, yet cost $20. What a joke. On top of that, they don’t even have most of the items listed on their menu. No wonder hardly anyone eats here compared to places like Captain Jack’s. Food and drinks are served on/in plastic and paper, which makes the whole experience feel cheap. It’s clear the owner doesn’t care about this restaurant. I don’t recommend it and definitely won’t be coming back.

We went on a Friday night 7pm, no reservation and had no wait! Had our puppy with us and grateful he could come along for a laidback, casual meal with peaceful views. Love that Jim’s Dock is BYOB and no fuss! Our meal included oysters, crab cakes, blacked fish w double veggie and husband had fish and chips. Everything was very good. It was a simple, casual meal. Staff were very friendly. If you’re looking for fine dining- this is not it,but it’s a beautiful location with good food and some perks!
Great spot, awful expensive food. Staff is sweet but very slow, we had to go find our server a couple times. I sent some of my food back because it wasn't cooked all the way through (very sketchy for seafood). They were very nice about it but for the insane prices I expect it to at least be cooked. The rest of the food was mediocre at best, none of us finished anything because it just wasn't good. So pricey for inedible food. Also, this doesn't affect my review because they can't do anything about it, but beware of the aggressive seagulls. They'll stalk you, jump on your table, and steal your food. It's a very nice spot though so if they improve the food it would be worth fighting the seagulls haha

We kayaked in around 11:45a and had to wait til they started serving food around 12:30. Very casual sitting outside — you could wear a bathing suit. Fun to watch the boats go by on a busy summer day.
