My husband and I went there for the first time today. We had the trotter which is a turkey sandwich with munster cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and thousand island dressing. It was excellent. We ended with a salted brownie. Don't leave without trying one. Great lunch. Will definitely go ahead. Very nice owner!!

I recently tried their Sprout with Avocado sandwich, and it exceeded all expectations. Served on perfectly toasted multigrain bread, this sandwich is a masterful combination of fresh, high-quality ingredients. The creamy avocado is the star, providing a rich, satisfying base that pairs beautifully with the crisp cucumber, juicy tomato, and tangy pickled red onion. The herb aioli, clearly crafted with care, adds a layer of depth that ties all the flavors together, while the cheddar cheese gives just the right amount of sharpness.

What really makes this sandwich special is its balance. The textures work together harmoniously, from the softness of the avocado to the crunch of the vegetables and the hearty bite of the multigrain bread. Every element is thoughtfully chosen and expertly prepared, reflecting the owner’s commitment to offering something truly exceptional.

The shop itself is as inviting as the food, with a cozy, unpretentious vibe that makes you want to stay and chat. The owner’s warmth and attention to detail ensure that every customer feels valued, turning a simple sandwich into a memorable experience.

The food is always excellent. I highly recommend the tuna--perfectly seasoned with a little crunch and some tang from relish. High quality ingredients and very fresh bread! Absolutely delish! If you're lucky, the tuna melt will be on special. Best sandwiches around and so convenient to grab on the way to the beach or for the boat!

Vegetarian options: There's at least one vegetarian option on the menu.

Kid-friendliness: They will make grilled cheese, PBJ and other simple sandwiches for kids.

On our way down to Point Judith looking for a sandwich shop to feed ourselves and enjoy the weather. The Salty General came up as the best sandwich shop in town and made a beeline for it. Our bellys were full after scarfing down our delicious Calabrese, Mortadello, and Ham/Cheese sandwiches. Awesome selection of chips even Maui Onion variety.

Kid-friendliness: Did not have a dedicated kids menu, but was willing to make anything for us based on the ingredients they had. So friendly to our kids and their taste buds.

Got the Calabrese which was fantastic with the calabrian chili oil spread, and got a Roast which was there sliced thin roast beef is piled on high with cheddar cheese and horseradish mayo. Both fantastic and he tossed in a free brownie which was also very good. Will be back again this summer for sure.

Not worth the cost. What I thought would be a gourmet sandwich was just 2 cold pieces of bread with a little lunch meat in between with lettuce. More like a kindergartener's sandwich for $12.95.

Food was really good! I got the sprout sandwich. The avocado spread on it is amazing and everything tastes super fresh! The bread is even super soft. The guy who works there also gave me a complimentary brownie! The service is great. When I called to modify my sandwich he changed it with no problem. Pick up was only 5 minutes too which is great! Overall great tasty food and great service! So I definitely recommend it and support a local sandwich shop!

I got the Calabrese and it was delicious! I was only able to eat half of it so I am saving the other half for lunch tomorrow. The man working was very kind and quick. I would recommend this place to anybody who likes authentic New York style sandwiches!
