My first time on Block Island. Spent my 4th anniversary 8/27 with my fiancee checking out shops and hanging out on the beach. I did some GOOGLING for what we may want for dinner and these seemed like the place. Not one thing was bad. The staff were kind and polite. Service was quick. The appetizer and entrée were amazing. I am a picky eater but I tried a few new things and everything was amazing. If or when we go back to Block Island we will come back. I would highly recommend...
We normally LOVE the Beachhead, but this season I have a couple of notes: the grilled hotdog bun provided as bread with the mussels feels like a cop-out. It is also disappointing to ask to sit as a double where there are five open four-tops and being told no, and having to sit in the wind only to look over later and sure-enough see that several doubles have then been allowed to sit at those same four-tops.
The hot lobster roll is the best on the island. Hot buttered lobster chunks and a toasted brioche bun!
The seafood nachos are also a must.
