Block Island Oyster Bar and Grill

I've eaten at all the top spots on Block and had never managed a meal here...Overall our family of 4 agreed best meal on the Island period. Cosmo our server has been there for 6 yrs and it shows. Drinks were excellent, every single appetizer and 4 different mains all very well executed and served. We did have dessert so can't comment but from time we walked in and sat down we felt special. Great atmosphere in the downstairs dining room & bar area which has lots of windows and views to quiet tree lined property. 10/10 and while we were not in a hurry there is something to be appreciated about efficient service on a busy Island. We sat at 6:15pm and were finished just before 7:30. Don't pass on BI Oyster Bar & Grill. Its just a few minute walk from the crowds of main st and that made the experience more special. Want to add the person who told us about Oyster Bar & Grill was Raf our Champlins shuttle driver...If you have stayed at Champlins and had pleasure of Raf as a Island concierge you know what I'm talking about. He knows his spots on BI!

Located in the Hotel Manisses the restaurant has seating inside as well as in the garden. Everything is first class from the food to the service. A must visit on Block Island.

Food was unreal. Service top notch. Awesome siting out in the garden. Cool grounds. Get the parm grilled oysters and the scallops over risotto.

It was our anniversary. The staff was amazing. It had rained earlier so we could not dine outside like originally planned but still very pretty space. A little dissapointed that our anniversary dinner didn't come with a complimentary dessert since the staff knew. It's still one of our favorites to dine on the island.

This place is a true gem of the island. The garden is nothing short of magical and the food is spectacular. The lazy man's lobster and the cod curry dish were awesome. Mitchell was so knowledgeable about the menu and island, attentive, and kind - he topped off the experience as one of the best! Will be back for sure. Thank you for a memorable evening:)

Best meal we had on Block Island. The seafood was fresh, the ambiance was calm, the service was great.

We ate at the restaurant two times and were very pleased with the outdoor setting, the staff and the food. Our server, Natalie, was friendly and professional. Being lovers of seafood, we had oysters both time as well as miso-glazed cod, cioppino and swordfish on the different evenings. The drinks were also well-made. It was nice to sit outside in the shade on the warm evenings.

Mitchell was an incredible server. His attentiveness, enthusiasm, and conversation made our trip to Block Island a memorable one.

So good that we returned the next evening with a friend for dinner. Cocktails, food, and atmosphere were all all exquisite! Cheers to our bartender that came from Matunuck Oyster Bar!!

We chose this restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and it did not disappoint! We had excellent service, and the food was nothing short of amazing. We started with the artisan bread with the citrus butter and the stuffies with a jalapeno jelly. My husband had the crispy salmon, and I chose the lazy man's lobster (YUM!!) We sat outside on a beautiful evening, and the ambience was exactly what I hoped it would be. Of course, you pay good money for good food and great service, and it was worth every penny!

Friendly welcome by hostess and great service, Wonderful food! Started with watermelon & feta salad...quahogs were the best I've ever had! Miso cod delicious...Would recommend to friends

Great staff, great location! But 4/5 food

First of all, the beautiful garden setting just sets the tone for a relaxing dinner. The generous bread basket was delicious. All of us chose the salmon with steamed vegetables. I had my salmon blackened it was absolutely delicious. Kimberly stopped by to check on us and stayed for a little conversation. She always makes sure you are very welcomed and happy. I would highly recommend coming here.
