Delicious hot lobster roll, highly recommend!
Everything was great! Would not lean towards getting shrimp though.
OMG, the roasted half-chicken here is *delicious*! Just the right combination of spiciness together with the rice, black beans, and roasted bell peppers. Highly recommended! Who knew such amazing cuisine was available on Block Island! The waitstaff were also friendly and attentive.
Every time we go to Block, we talk about trying someplace different for dinner. Can't do it. Food & atmosphere are pure bliss.
We had the lobster roll (warm) and the lobster avocado BLT. Absolutely amazing!
Wanna pay way too much for an underwhelming lobster roll? This is the place. Nothing says overrated New England restaurants like $40 worth of claw meat and $15 tequila sodas. Look, I get it..it’s Block Island and you’re a tourist, but feel free to get ripped off elsewhere. Would not recommend.
Dinner at DED's on Block Island was an unforgettable experience! Located just across from our Narragansett Inn Hotel, it made for the perfect spot to enjoy a meal while watching the storm roll in. The food was absolutely spot-on—I'll be dreaming about the Crab Rangoon Flatbread for weeks. We also savored the Scallop Tostadas, Swordfish Bites, and the delicious rolls served with pepper jam and honey butter. Every dish was exceptional!
Adding to the evening's charm was the Monday night jazz music, which set the perfect backdrop as we made new friends and soaked in the iconic atmosphere. The blend of great food, live music, and a picturesque storm rolling in made for a truly memorable evening—one that felt like it could only happen here on Block Island.
DED's has a rich history, adding to its appeal. Originally established in the 1940s, it has been a longstanding fixture in the New Harbor area, offering breathtaking views of the marina and Great Salt Pond. Named after a character from Herman Melville's novel, the restaurant has maintained its classic seaside charm while delivering a modern culinary experience. This blend of history, ambiance, and fantastic food makes DED's a must-visit spot on Block Island.
Had a wonderful lunch here after spending the morning 'float' hunting. It's off season so it was quiet. We sat on the deck and enjoyed the beautiful views. Our server was just wonderful and the food delicious.

Maybe my favorite spot on Block Island, I love it here. The location is beautiful and the food is outstanding. This latest visit I tried the cajun swordfish bites and they are absolutely unreal. For spice lovers it’s a must order. They blew me away. I didn’t care for the citrus-mint crema but it wasn’t even needed. Fresh lemon and you’re good to go. Make sure you absolutely stop here when on Block, you can’t go wrong anything on the menu.
