Super friendly service from the start. Not too packed and an easy-going, relaxing yet clean atmosphere. Fish & chips were clearly fresh and super crispy + the reubens were some of the best we’ve had.

The best meal we’ve had so far! My husband had chicken tenders (hand made and no thick breading) and I had the absolute BEST rueben sandwich ever!! So thin and tender it melted in my mouth. Our waitress was the best too. She gave us great advice and was on top of things. Well worth the visit. Loved this place. I’d give it 10 stars if I could.

Went there I. April if you are not a regular you get treated like trash. We have had a summer house on the island over 59 years if they don’t recognize the grandchildren your treated like shit. The service was horrible !! The waiter held my son card hostage under the the cash register until my husband had to ask for it !! The food sucked !! I am so sad to give a review like this because we have meet the owner when there first opened . She is from Vermont which is not to far from us. I would never support her restaurant as long as she keeps hiring wait staff like them !!!

We have come to this establishment every year since it's open, whenever we visited the summer home. Always enjoyed the food and from my wife and I experience we loved the resturant. Until yesterday in which my children went and were treated rudely. Add on top the server was holding on to my son's debit card after he paid for some unknown reason and I had to ask for it. In which she pulled out from under the cash register. Unfortunaly though I enjoyed the food and never had a bad interaction myself will not be supporting this establishment for the way my children were treated.

This was the first restaurant we went to as newlyweds on our honeymoon, and we were not disappointed! Incredibly cozy/comfy atmosphere, fantastic Irish pub fare, and friendly staff. The Shepard's Pie and Whiskey flights were my personal favorites. For the value, comfort, and location, this was our favorite spot on the island, and look forward to making future memories here!

Restaurantji Recommends
Forgot to put order in, as everyone else was eating no one checked had to get up and ask. Then the salmon was rushed because it fell apart yuck
Great experience here! To start off, the food was fantastic, I was only here for appetizers however, those appetizers absolutely blew me away. I decided to do some restaurant hopping around the area, this Cheesy Garlic Bread with the French Onion Soup was just amazing. The sauce with the toasted bread and cheese with other flavoring on top also was really delicious, the French Onion Soup, Wow, absolutely delicious, also the mix of flavoring especially the cheese on top. Everything will melt in your mouth, it was awesome.
The service was fantastic, our waitress was really sweet, gave us recommdations of the best dishes at the restaurant, made sure the food was great and more. The atmosphere of the place was great! Despite eating outside, the outside tables and chairs were clean, the interior looked awesome too! There was a bar with a bunch of other seating inside too, nice lighting and large TV’s. The live music also made the experience a lot more fun as well.
This restaurant was definetly a restaurant that I would come back to if I would come back to Block Island. I would highly recommend this restaurant to others who are coming to vacation here or to spend a whole day here.
Parking: There is a gas station near by which is owned by the same building, there should be parking in that area, however, there is also street parking.

McAloon’s continues to be a Block Island go-to for a hearty meal. We recently had dinner here and it did not disappoint. Whether you are looking for a great Shepherd’s Pie or a simple Chicken Tenders Platter, you will not be disappointed.

Was seated on the patio and waited 25 minutes without being served. Every table around us was served, and we even asked the table next to us to tell their waiter we had been waiting this long. She said "oh" and then walked off without saying anything to us. We left.
