Spring House Main Restaurant

We went to The Spring House for our 25th wedding anniversary. This was the best vacation we have ever had. The hotel is amazing. We had a corner room facing the ocean and the view was perfect. We loved sitting on the lawn in the white Adirondack chairs. The view was spectacular, the live piano music was wonderful and it was great that you could order drinks and food from your chair. The food and staff was also great. We had the same waitress for two of our dinners and she was amazing her name is Kacey. She made our dining experience very enjoyable. We highly recommended The Spring House and we plan on going again.

We come to Spring House every summer and it never disappoints! The food is great, service excellent, and you really can't beat the view. The Ruby Red Lemonade martini is tart and refreshing. The lobster gnocchi is delicious with a creamy tomato sauce and the chicken Milanese topped with burrata is to die for. We'll be back next year!

This has always been our happy place. We have been staying and eating here since we started dating. Sadly, this year the food was sub par and the service was even worse. We had a little issue with our little girl's food and the manager didn't even come tap the table. He simply told the waitress to relay a message. Obviously it's a busy place and we understand that- but still no excuse for crappy pricey food and terrible service.

Overall average meal. Gnocchi is was clearly. Store bought which for the price is unacceptable

We only had lunch on the terrace. Beautiful breezy day in the shade overlooking the Atlantic. Delicious lunch with good wait staff

We were so looking forward to going to the spring house. We have been visiting Block Island for over 20 years and had never gone. So for our anniversary, we wanted to try it and I have to say I was very disappointed. The filet mignon was like any other New York steak that I had, It was soo overcooked. Alrhough The Demi glaze sauce that came with it was delicious. The clams casinos could've been cooked a little more. The only thing that saved the night was the ambience. Not sure I will go back ...

Food was ok , nothing special. Expensive for the quality. Tuna tartar was thick and flavorless. A dipping sauce, would have given it some flavor, seafood in the stew was all bland and lacking flavor. Broth was good but one small piece of toast to soak up broth. Server was excellent very pleasant. All the staff was exceptionally friendly. Mixed drinks were good, white wine should have been chilled more. View is excellent.

The outside is absolutely stunning with some of the best views. We ended up eating inside by choice because we got chilly. The seating inside was very uncomfortable, that is the only reason it lost a star. Otherwise food was delicious, priced as expected.

Usually the food is good. My (very expensive) steak, ordered medium rare was well done. My husbands pasta was so so. Bar service on the porch is slow. The table service was good.

The ambience is really what you are paying for. We had gorgeous seats on the deck. Menu is smaller than previously. I was hoping for a scallop dish or something similar. Clams casino were fine but prob won't get them again. Raw bar was great. We had the filet.. it was def good but not mind blowing. Black and blue martini is the best.

Booked for a birthday celebration. Reservation was changed due to a wedding at 1:45 pm sitting. Was informed kitchen and bar will close at 2 pm. Very rushed and poor service. Disappointed especially after an expensive lunch.

The Spring House never disappoints. Beautiful scene. Amazing food and drinks. Good service. Can't wait to be back next year!

My family and I have been coming to the SpringHouse for years as it has a special place in our hearts bc we got married here so we always get dinner every year when we visit. Unfortunately, this year the menu and service just wasn't as good as it has been in previous years. It was Sunday of the 4th of July holiday wkd. Costs have def increased but no surprise there. No beers on tap anymore, no specials were offered and service was sub-par. Not sure if management changed, but disappointed it didn't live up to our previous expectations. Hopefully they turn it around and it was just an off night, but surprised in the inconsistent dining experience. :(
