The food was so yummy, the drinks were great, the atmosphere was lovely, and Mark, our server, was the cherry on top! He took great care of us, gave us tips about stuff to do for after dinner, and was very accommodating of our various allergies and dietary restrictions. I hope he’s our server again next time!!
We enjoyed a great lunch on a high top in the bar area. I was able to have a gluten free Tuna dish, they do offer a gf “soy sauce” option. Service was great and our server was knowledgeable about gluten free options. They do not have a designated gf fryer.

Part of my Block Island tradition is enjoying a lobster club sandwich at The Oar, and this trip I came with a group of nine. When we checked in, we were told we were the only large party, yet we ended up waiting what felt like an hour. When I mentioned this to our waitress, she snapped back that it had been “39 minutes.” I asked her to double-check, and soon after we were told our table was being cleaned and would be ready in 10 minutes.
