Incompetency is my biggest pet peeve. If you serve in Block Island, where your main clientele is from NY, RI, and MA. Please go through training in order to properly identify individuals. Bartender tried taking my real ID after checking the ID with over 6 of her friends/staff at the establishment, I was appalled to say the least. I think they may have never seen an enhanced ID before. After I said to her the cops would have to be called to get it back, she gave it to her manager, where you would think he could identify a Local ID. Nope, says that they will give it back but they will not serve, even if the cops came and checked it out, with the rudest behavior I’ve seen exhibited in the hospitality industry. The incompetency was deafening. Left shortly after.

Every year prices go up and quality goes down. They charge for salsa—at a Mexican restaurant!!! Mexican restaurants are our favorite and we’ve never been charged for salsa! The honey grilled corn bread is dry and flavorless. It used to have honey and butter drizzled on top which then melted down the sides. Now we’re told the honey is baked inside. Spend your money elsewhere on the island.

The mudslide are great. The food is also great lol but the staff was the selling point everyone there made the experience and I went back every day for the week I was there.

Bartender is so rude. First they had a weird Christmas night with an inappropriate Santa then bartender asked us to be quiet even though we’re just sitting at a bar talking with loud music in background. Do not bother going here. Worst vibes.

The bouncers denied me at the door claiming my very real ID was fake. I assured them it was real and told them they could scan it. Eventually, they let me in, but wanted me to pay when no one else coming in had to. I’ve been over 21 for years now and I’ve never had issues with my ID. We explained the situation to the owner. She was very, very sweet and knew the ID was real, so she let me in. I appreciated her help, but I wish the bouncers wouldn’t have given me such a hard time as I typically enjoy coming to this place.
I only write reviews when I feel people should know that they may waste there money, I in particular felt as though I paid too much for a very under whelming experience. For starters my food was mid at best. The chicken seasoned decently but the other ingredients in said taco did not contribute to the flavor and really only negatively countered it. My taco was also cold. Tacos of all food and simple not good at all cold, it tasted as if it had been sitting out for 20 min before it got to me. And though I was very upset about paying for less than food, I did not have the chance to send it back before enough time had passed that it felt irrelevant to do so, and all because my server was so dispersed, that she rarely bothered to take our orders and check on us, and even walked by so many times whilst we all sat there without touching our plates for roughly about 30 min before I had to ask the bar for our check.
