Much like the other reviews, I had a fantastic experience with Darwin. The mark of a good bartender is being able to make a great “bartenders choice” drink with your liquor/palate preference. Overall the drinks where great with the service to match. A go-to nightcap in Newport for sure.

My husband and I stopped in Bar 12 to enjoy pre dinner drinks during our recent stay in Newport.Bar 12 is a small and intimate setting. It definitely is best for small groups due to limited seating.The menu is great and offers unique cocktails, in addition to beer and wine, for guests with differing palettes.We had 4 different cocktails and enjoyed all of them equally. Although we didn't have any food, the menu looked appetizing.Darwin was a gracious bartender despite the busy crowd.We will definitely return during our next trip! Highly recommend.

Wow! Drinks were amazing, and the hummus was the best we've had. It was "date night" on Thursday, so food was half off. Darwin, our bartender did a great job, handled the entire place solo, with grace, and an upbeat and friendly attitude. So glad we stopped in ❤

Bar 12 is a hidden gem! It is a cozy establishment with a variety of specialty cocktails and small plates. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. Highly recommend as a required stop on any visit to Newport!
We had the most fabulous time at this little hidden gem of a place. They offer little fabulous bites, delicious from local fisheries and farms. Their cocktails look amazing. I had an IPA, which really hit the spot! Shout out to the bartender, Darwin!

Hip and cool bar in Newport. Came here on a weekday evening. Love the mood and ambiance inside. Got the last night in Oaxaca and thin mintini. Both were good, the mezcal drink was boozier than expected. Loved the thin mintini; it was delicious and a great dessert. i also got the pork belly sliders which were very good. Overall it was a great experience, and a cozy spot to have drinks especially in the winter.
