While the staff at check-in were incredibly pleasant, the room was just what we needed for a weekend getaway, and the breakfast pastry in the morning was delicious, it was all brought down by the awful night we had due to the location. There is some sort of bar/pub next door and from around 10pm - 1am they were BLASTING club music loud enough that my wife and I could not sleep. We tried reaching out via email about our experience and did not receive anything in return. It is a shame that such a nice boutique hotel ion a cute town is next to such a loud bar.

Best fine dining in Newport. The meal was fabulous from the appetizers to the main course to dessert. Reasonably priced for fine dining. Staff was attentive and friendly. My new favorite restaurant in Newport Bon Appetit!

Dan our captain did not disappoint- drinks were made to perfection! We were hesitant to try the sweetbread app but due to his recommendation- my husband found them delicious! The steak tartare was amazing. I had the duck - delicately prepared and cooked to perfection. My husband had the pork and couldn't have been happier with it. And the soufflé- a staple and must have at the end of a deliciously prepared and presented meal.

Chantrelle is a fabulous restaurant! The food all tastes so home made! We loved the duck and the Dover sole! The lobster ravioli appetizer was also amazing! They have a great wine list, and we tried a wonderful bottle of champagne! The service was fantastic! The best thing, however, is the gran manier soufflé! It is so hard to make this, and they do it perfectly! I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant!

A perfect evening! Dan, our captain, was so helpful - and knowledgeable. From our apertifs to dessert each course exceeded expectations. The wine suggestions were spot on - we will definitely be back. This was a delayed Valentines Day celebration worth waiting for!

Second visit and just as pleasant and enjoyable. Friendly staff. Menu a bit limited by my lbster ravioli was to die for. Halibut was 4 stars. My wife's only complaint was that the additions to the plate were the exact same for both of us. Who cares is what I wanted to say. captain of the dining room, Nick, was great, knowledgeable, engaging, but not too much. Beware of dress code but it is not very restrictive. It's a place where you can dress up and treat yourself. Be respectful of those who are trying to make it a memorable experience and dress accordingly.

We had a lovely dinner at Chanterelle last evening. The service was wonderful; the new decor beautiful and updated, but still conveying the specialness of Bouchard's for a wonderful ambiance. While I was a little disappointed with the Dover sole, everything else was superb!

Really beautiful and delicious gourmet faire but the interior is tragic and in need of a major refresh ...it shouldn't be that hard to find and hire a proper interior designer! The dirty Walmart style curtains just dont fit the upscale food and level quality of service.

Another outstanding experience at Chanterelle! Carmen's warm and welcoming hospitality. Dan's impeccable service. Chef Jessica's amazing cuisine. The classic steak tartare is a must - amazingly tender with the perfect blend of dijon, cornichons, and egg. Aperitif special of lobster ravioli was not to be missed - delicate pasta, plump lobster, beurre blanc and trout roe for color and pop! Perfectly prepared rare tuna entree. All paired with the chateauneuf-du-pape that Dan chose for us. Everything you could hope for in fine dining. Also had the privilege of celebrating New Year's Eve 2023 at Chanterelle. If fine dining can be performance art then the team at Chanterelle always delivers a masterpiece, never more so than with their New Year's Eve dinner. From Sarah, Brittany and Carmen's warm welcome and hospitality, through Dan's engaging, knowledgeable, perfectly timed service, to Chef Albert and Chef Jessica's exquisite cuisine the evening was a truly memorable experience that struck the perfect balance of being both elegant and personal. Once again even before the evening was over we found ourselves planning and looking forward to our next visit!

First time back at Bouchard -- now Chanterelle -- in five years. It's good to see that they haven't lost a step. It's still excellent French food served with impeccable service. If you're looking for a really good dinner in Newport, Chanterelle should be at the top of your list.

My wife and I have been going to this restaurant for years. We love it for its amazing French dishes and I would emphasize the unbelievable sauces. Unfortunately, we were met with bland food, oily sauce, and mediocre service this time. I don't know what has changed if there is a new chef, but I don't think I would bother returning, especially at this price point. I hope that it was off-season and they will return with the same prime-season crew in the spring.

We have enjoyed the restaurant for many years. Every dish we have ordered is delicious and the presentation is special. The duck, sole meunière and seared tuna are amazing. The asparagus/mushroom puff pastry appetizer and carpaccio of the day are always excellent.

The atmosphere, service, and food were spectacular. Took my fiancé for New Years and anniversary and we couldn't have asked for a better night! We started with the Black River Oscietra Caviar, for entrees we both couldn't decide on the Fillet Mignon or Tuna Dijonnaise, so our table captain Max had the chef split and plate each for us, and finally the Grand Marnier Souffle for dessert. Everything was cooked and served to perfection. Would highly recommend.

Our waiter was absolutely terrible. We seemed to be ignored all evening. Our glass of water came 30 minutes after arrival, then he came to take our drink and dinner order. It took 20 more minutes to get our drinks. After waiting 45 minutes for our dinner order our waiter came to the table to tell us the dish we ordered was no longer available! It was a total of 2 hours from when we arrived before our meal arrived. Such a disappointment and we will not return!

This is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is always delicious. I had the chilian sea bass which was outstanding. Service is alway good and the waiter is very knowledgeable with everything on the menu.
