We arrived and got an excellent reserved table. We were celebrating a 50 th anniversary and a 78 th birthday. The food choices were excellent. Our server was fabulous. Everyone loved their meal. Our table was surprised by receiving the largest hot fudge brownie sundae any of us had ever seen. It was a very special and memorable time!!
Back room was very noisy but enjoyable. Next time I'll ask to be seated in the front room that in the other side from the entrance. And yes, order the clam chowder for a true New England treat.
Very fun vibe, good food and lively place. You DO need a reservation. We had a great time.
Hostess service was excellent. Our table was ready as soon as we arrived. Once at the table, it took 15 minutes for the waitress to stop at the table. She ran by once to tell me she will take out drink order, but she said this as she was rushing to the next room. After she took our order, and we got our food, she would stop by but always rushing. I guess she had too many tables. Other than this, the food was really good and the prices matched the quality of the food.
Honestly, disappointing this visit. We've always been pleased in past, but this visit was a negative. My husband's drink (Painkiller) was mostly juice and very little alcohol which surprised us since the bar in the past was always excellent. I had a classic dish which I've had before- stuffed sole with lobster sauce. I should have sent it back. It was very dry and fish didn't taste fresh. lobster sauce tasted like their bisque thickened with corn starch or something else and very little of it🤷♀️. Only bright spot was the coleslaw and while my husband's burger was ok it was billed as Au Poire and it wasn't that. Mostly tased like too much mustard aioli Service was excellent however.
Our second visit to the Brick Alley and another enjoyable evening with great food and service. The baked scallops & lobster Mac'n'cheese were delicious. If you're visiting Newport don't miss this iconic eatery. We'll definitely be back.
Great location and fun decoration. It looks like someone who just didn't know what to do with all their treasures from the attic decided to share it with everyone who comes into the restaurant. Your eyes certainly won't get bored. I had a nice Caesar salad and a pasta with chicken and sun-dried tomatoes. The garlic bread was nice and crisp And perfect for the entrée. My margarita was not special so that was a little disappointing. So I suggest sticking with the wine.
My wife Jill and I have been coming to Brick Alley for 27 years and we have NEVER had a bad time or a bad meal. Matt Plumb and his family have done a great job making this restaurant feel like home.
We always hit The Brick Alley Pub when we are in town! I can't get enough of their lobster Mac and cheese. We ate at the bar and our martinis were perfect and the service was fabulous. Thank you Lilly.
Fantastic service and seafood! We both had lobster bisque, excellent! My husband had the baked scallops, and I had the stuffed shrimp. Both were new recipes to us, but they were great! I recommend Both dishes.

Amazing food and wonderful friendly service. Kid friendly and drinks were yummy for the adults. Highly recommend as a dining must if visiting Newport!
The food was delicious and our server was great. We got there early and had no wait but as it got closer to 5:45-6 there was quite a long wait.
Great dinner on our last night in Newport. We sat at the bar. My husband loved the lobster Reuben.
I posted pic of lobster bisque to go …a bowl for $12 plus tip … 1/2 a bowl at my house and not one piece of lobster! I’d like to see a cup … what a1/4 of a cup because a bowl is 1/2 a cup! Rip off
