Definitely a cute place and a great location. I really liked the vibe there. They had dog biscuits and made me a pup cup for my fur baby. I like sugar-free options, and there aren’t any in the flavored syrups, but the cold brew was delicious. The scone was OK and the server running the counter seemed annoyed. Otherwise, I would’ve given it five stars.

We stopped by twice when we were in the Newport area. The bus from Providence stops nearby, and it's a good location to start the day in Newport, whether going down to the harbor, Thames St, or towards the mansions.
The Dulcato is good, refreshing, and you don't have to add anything or think about which flavor to add.
BEC sandwich was solid, and pastries. Seating inside was pleasant and lively. It seemed like locals enjoy as well.

We come here over the years in summer ,while the space has its own charm and most workers are nice and try to be efficient, cutting corners unfortunately might occur, when it comes to drip coffee if you're out and the customer is willing to wait for a new batch to brew don't steam older coffee or a cold one to make it hot,whatever the more experienced barista served us was something steamed telling her new coworker that she got it as she didn't wanna waste it.... We ended up getting something that has no body ,watery and tasteless.

Made the wrong coffee (hot coffee when the label they printed onto the cup said iced) which is ok because mistakes happen. Then, when I asked nicely where the replacement coffee is coming, she says that she called it out and pointed vaguely to the output stand. The coffee isn't there so she searches and finds the now watered down coffee in the production area instead of the stand, just passing it to me with a deep sigh of disappointment because I guess I was making her job hard.
There are at least three other places to get great coffee here. I'll stick to those next time.

Ok.... first off, I just had the best bagel breakfast sandwich ever!!! Inside is a little dystopian, and you don't talk to anyone to order. You go to a kiosk and order and navigate a dozen or more options to get your order. Highly recommend sesame bagel, toasted, bacon, egg, avocado, tomato, and bacon habinero sauce. Omg!!!! Would eat here again.

This is an okay coffee shop. Its convenient because its right outside of the naval base. The coffee is okay and so were the breakfast sandwiches. This location was a bit boring and empty. I think their other location maybe a bit more charming and inviting. Its worth a try!!
Very happy I found this place, excellent coffee and their Caprese sandwich was awesome. Not a huge menu but what they do, they do right.
Also a great set up for working, lots of seating, plenty of room, plenty of outlets everywhere, and cool atmosphere. Great location too. 5 stars!

I came in just before closing at without realizing. I was served a hot coffee and some pastry treats. The staff were kind, professional and welcoming.
I would absolutely recommend Empire Tea & Coffee to a friend.
