First time visiting, came in on a Sunday evening and were the only 2 customers in the store. They have a strictly enforced one sample per person policy, which was disappointing because I did not like the pumpkin flavor that I sampled. Especially with it being the end of the night with no other customers in the store, you would think a second sample would be customary. Also the ice cream sandwiches are way over priced (with no price displayed that we could see before checkout), around $8.
Editing this review in response to the owner, to add that I am shocked that the employee working Sunday evening, Sept 7 said they did not enforce a one sample only policy. This is a pretty minor thing so it is pretty weird to me that an employee would lie about it, but the interaction left a negative enough impression on me to write a review to leave feedback. Both my husband and I can verify, as would any security footage of reviewed. I stand by this review and would be happy to discuss further. I also stand by my opinion that there was no price displayed that we could see (we looked and found no price in the ice cream sandwich freezer), so if it was else where we did not see it.

Very nice girl behind the counter in a cute ice cream shop in Newport. My wife and I shared a 2-scoop toffee crunch and mint chocolate chip, while our 8-pounder got a vanilla doggie dollop. All flavors were very good - high quality ice cream. My only minor disappointments - the serving size / value and flavor selection (only 10 or 11 to choose from, and mostly simple flavors - choc, vanilla, strawberry, etc) were on the light side. You’d like at least a couple adventurous flavors to take a chance on. Most 2-scoop places give you 2 mounding heaps of delight … these 2-scoops were smaller than any place we’ve seen in a long time. When you are dropping $8 for a 2-scooper, you just hope to get a bigger serving. I know, the economy has every place tightening belts - but so are we! But hey - we loved our dessert anyway in this charming nook of the town, and we will be back !

Strawberry ice cream was amazing. It was not overly sweet, but exuded the flavor of fresh strawberries. Although not soft serve, the ice cream was incredibly smooth and easy to eat. Would definitely go back again to try other flavors.

Absolutely loved this place! The ice cream was incredibly creamy and flavorful. All fresh and homemade. Great flavors to choose from, and the staff was super friendly and patient while we made our choices. The shop was clean and had a fun, welcoming vibe. Definitely our new go-to spot. Highly recommend!

They told me they don't clean the shake machine until 9:30 but when I went it there today hopping for one they had it cleaned and put away so don't believe anything thy say
When coming in there were two girls working and they looked so upset and discomforted. I felt rushed and also there were only around 10 flavors and I paid 14 dollars for a kiddie and a single scoop and the scoop didn’t even fill the cup. One of the scoopers who was scooping the ice cream for us wasn’t wearing gloves and was digging her hands in the icecream

Delicious!!!! You can tell a terrific handmade ice cream when the flavors shine with their natural ingredients (bright lemon, toasty coconut...) without a ton of artificial colorings. Also very friendly staff and great vibes. Well worth the stroll from the wharf and maddening crowds. Highly recommend!!!!
