With a small selection of handmade flavors, get the scoop offers some classics and some seasonal specials. I was initially disappointed at the smaller scoop size (considering the price), but the quality of the ice cream overshadowed that - both the apple pie and toffee crunch were really good, with the toffee being my favorite. The customer service was also great.
No wonder this place has the highest Google ratings in Newport! Lisa is so kind and makes some seriously delicious ice cream. We tried a few flavors but chose Apple Pie à la mode and Mint Chocolate Chip. Wow. Wish I could take some back home to Texas, it was that good. ❤️❤️❤️
Very nice girl behind the counter in a cute ice cream shop in Newport. My wife and I shared a 2-scoop toffee crunch and mint chocolate chip, while our 8-pounder got a vanilla doggie dollop. All flavors were very good - high quality ice cream. My only minor disappointments - the serving size / value and flavor selection (only 10 or 11 to choose from, and mostly simple flavors - choc, vanilla, strawberry, etc) were on the light side. You’d like at least a couple adventurous...
