We had a wonderful dinner during Restaurant Week. Without question, it was the best combination of value and we experienced. The $30pp 3 course meal was delicious. We had mussels and crispy tuna eggroll. For the main we had cod/polenta puttanesca and pasta w/white clam sauce. Both big servings and cooked perfectly. Dessert was crème brûlée and gelato. Hooked is amazing. Chef is from the now defunked Shells and Scales which has new owners. Muscles were large and juicy. Husband had the scrod he said was amazing. I had the seafood fra diablo it was amazing. I had it for one person it could have fed three people. It was so good. Service was friendly and on point . Plan on going back next year in Newport. Good luck with the new place you will be successful.
We have been long time customers of Scales and Shells restaurant (every visit to Newport). When we heard that the staff moved to Hooked, we tried it on our next visit. We were happy we did....same excellent seafood, same friendly staff, really nice casual atmosphere. Will be back next visit to Newport.
