Such a great find! Good coffee, fantastic pasteries, vegetarian/vegan options that are delicious and also egg sandwiches for non-vegans. Order online if possible and pick up when you arrive. It's small inside so it can get crowded, but there is seating inside and out and it turns over quickly. Highly recommend the tempeh breakfast sandwiches!

Lucy's Cafe and Bakery is a great spot to grab a bite and a beverage! I stopped in every morning I was in town. The coffee is always delicious, there's always a special drink to try. During my weekend in Newport I had the yogurt bowl, an avocado toast, the blueberry and lemon donut, and a smoothie and each one was incredible. I also had a bite of my friends' caprese toast and egg sandwich and both were very good--and huge! Definitely worth stopping in if you're in Newport, and if you can, opt to dine-in. There are big, sunny windows and a cozy atmosphere inside, as well as plenty of tables outside. Everything is made fresh when you order, and it was nice to have tasty but healthier options for breakfast and snacks after all the vacation indulgences the rest of the day.I also grabbed a bag of their home made dog biscuits and my pup gave them a 5/5 rating too :)
Vegetarian options: No meat on the menu!
Dietary restrictions: Good options for vegans (and vegetarians)!

Cute little place. Biscuit and honey butter was great, acai bowl was also tasty and fresh, however it was a bit small and there wasn’t enough acai in there. overall great breakfast spot!

Great vibe inside. Biscuit was fantastic. The açaí bowl was lacking with açaí so it felt like mostly granola and berries.
Not a great selection and coffee was average or below- mocha was gritty however the people were nice and made me a matcha to replace it!

Egg and cheese biscuit was fine. I was surprised by how massive the biscuit was. Wish I could've ordered bacon on it, but they don't serve meat here. My spouse got an egg and cheese on an everything bagel. The lattes were good! I was able to get mine with oat milk.

Stopped here for a small bit to eat and a cold drink after a long walk at the cliff walk. Small, but they do have additional seating outdoors, and even an express cart for those looking to just grab a cold brew and continue walking down Thames. Located on Thames, it is really in the center of all the great shopping. Friendly staff, drinks were quick to be served, the food took a little while longer, but was less than 10 minute wait. They have a great selection of vegan / vegetarian options. The Iced coffee was incredibly delicious. There are a few tables inside, and if you have a little one, they have an artist wall they can draw a picture and hang it up.

Unfortunately we waiting an hour for our food, which we were only told about after we ordered and paid at the counter. When the bagel sandwiches did arrive one was so soggy it was inedible and the other was the most measly “egg and cheese” you could imagine. Such a let down.

The help was friendly, the lemon poppy muffin was great and the green power tasted awesome. Nice atmosphere. Glad we stopped in.

This place has online ordering which I recommend using but try and order 1 day ahead as it is excruciatingly slow to get your food/drinks. Over 30 min for some drinks and a few bites. You might want to consider stopping off somewhere else to eat first then come here to digest while you wait.
Enjoyed some delicious food from Lucy’s today. Took a trip up from New Jersey. Cozy little space with seating for maybe 12. Welcoming staff, easy to use ordering tablet near the door. You can customize your order and everything was made great. I ordered the bagel with hummus and greens, piña colada protein drink and protein bowl. Prices were good. Unfortunately I forgot to take a pic of the bagel, it was tasty.

Peaceful little Cafe. Been here twice and everything was great. So far the blueberry cake doughnut is my favorite. Looking forward to more visits.
