One of the employees snapped at my two-year-old to be quiet, which was very unexpected and unwelcoming. We have never experienced this at any other bakery and will not be returning.

Nice little bakery with yummy goodies. Can be a bit expensive but it is worth it.
Cute small bakery in Newport with awards all over the back wall. The place has homey vibes. They’re in a prime location across from City hall. Parking is a little tough in this area so I’d plan ahead for that. We got the blueberry coffee cake and the spinach and feta croissant. Both were really good.

I called inquiring for a quote on a cake and both individuals I spoke with are very rude and disrespectful. They acted like I was inconveniencing them asking for a quote when their website clearly states to call to place your order. I would not recommend. Please save your time and money and look for a different bakery that knows how to treat customers politely and with decency.

Owner is completely rude. We received an email from the owner saying that she could do a cake that we sent her a picture of. She said to call and place the order. My fiancé called about an hour after the email, which ended up being about 10 minutes before they closed for the day. The person on the phone made a point to tell her they closed at noon and was sighing in an aggravated manner, basically to show her annoyance that we called just before they closed. The annoyance and curt responses she gave led us to ask if she did not want to take our order. She said to go somewhere else. We then emailed the owner back to let her know that we had a bad experience with who we thought was an employee...It turned out that the person on the phone was the owner! She emailed back with additional rude and even insulting words making fun of what we wanted for the wedding cake. I cannot understand how a person like this stays in business with how they treat their customers.
It’s hard to rate a place when the sign indicates open until 4pm and then you walk in and you’re told we are closed at 245pm but what are you looking for …when you are visiting how would you know what you are looking for if you’ve never been in a place. Either own a business and adhere to the hours you post or close up shop.

First time customer and now I am hooked. I stopped for lunch at work. Customer in front of me cancels order of a beautiful cake. I leave with my cookies. I come back and ask if that cake is still available after they worked so hard on it. SCORE. It's available. My mother turns 65 the next day, I buy the cake and it was the best cake I've ever tasted in my life. Funnier story, it made it from Newport RI to Bridgewater MA back to Taunton and a mile from my house someone slammed the breaks and the cake goes flying on my car floor. But guess what... it was made so well it held up can you believe it. Best taste, held up even in the abuse it went through and was the best cake and the story behind it made it even better. Other customer without this cake, her loss. Big mistake Huge. I have to come back now. ?
