They treat staff terribly. Don't have policies about bartenders EQUALLY splitting tips. PLUS I have waited a month to receive a paycheck for my time working all day. When I did reach out and speak to someone I was met with the same disrespectful rude tone/attitude that I was given by the owner throughout the shift I worked as a FAVOR for them. 10/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

The moment we stepped into our venue and saw all the beautiful arrangements we knew that our wedding was going to be just perfect! The food was amazing, many of guests were praising it! The staff was friendly and very professional. Our expectations were far exceeded. Highly recommended for any events!!

From the moment we began planning our wedding, we knew that the catering would be one of the most important elements. We wanted to offer our guests an unforgettable culinary experience, and McGrath's absolutely delivered! We opted for the surf and turf (our friends and family are still raving about it). The quality of the food was simply outstanding – the steak was cooked to perfection, and the lobster was incredibly fresh and flavorful. It was truly a highlight of the evening. The raw bar was another huge hit and a perfect touch, adding a sophisticated New England flair that our guests thoroughly enjoyed. It was beautifully presented. Beyond the exceptional food, McGrath's professionalism and organization were truly impressive. The entire team was a dream to work with. In particular, Nadine was amazing to work with. They were incredibly responsive, attentive to every detail, and went above and beyond to ensure that everything ran smoothly. Their experience and expertise were evident in every aspect of their service. They didn't just cater our wedding; they helped us throw a fantastic party! McGrath's ability to seamlessly handle all the logistics allowed us to relax and fully enjoy our special day. The service was impeccable, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the entire event flowed effortlessly.

Our daughter got married last weekend at Greenvale Vineyards in Portsmouth RI and McGrath’s catered the affair.
We can’t say enough good things about our experience working with their staff! Nadine Jackson is wonderful to work with … responsive, professional and just a super friendly and nice person! The day would not have been so wonderful without all her help; she ALWAYS went above and beyond!
The bar and serving staff were also wonderful. We received so many compliments on the food, wait staff and bartenders.
If we could give more than 5 stars, we would!

More than Catering and a Clambake! As a recent bride, I can’t thank McGrath Clambakes and the INCREDIBLE Nadine, for how they brought our special day to life.

When it came to wedding planning, we only knew thing from the moment we got engaged - we need to have a traditional New England clambake! Throw in the fact that this was a destination wedding for us, as my husband and I live in Philadelphia, and we knew we needed to find the best in the business! We spoke to Nadine 10 months ago and immediately knew we wanted to move forward with their offering and from there we chose our venue, day, theme, and so on! McGrath was such a big part of our wedding day and we can’t be more grateful for all Nadine did for us. From helping to find the perfect light blue napkins with the best folding for the plate settings, to the most ideal New England menu with everything from oysters to lobsters and crab cakes to steamers, and a stage fit for only a top notch band - she did it all!

As a bride, I was constantly told “you won’t have time to eat enough”. We ate two plates of lobster and all the sides - the guests could wait as they were also as indulged as we were in our meal!

I cannot say enough about our surf and turf dinner at my step daughter’s wedding. The food was phenomenal. The filet was cooked perfectly, the lobster tail was amazing. The potatoes and vegetables were not ignored, delicious sauce to accompany them! We had creamy clam chowder with tons of clams to start as well as numerous other delicious appetizers. Definitely a 10/10 for me!

We hired McGrath's to cater a 90th birthday party for 65 ppl in our home. To say 'outstanding' minimizes our experience. From planning to execution, this team was professional and understated. The onsite team was beyond anything we could have imagined. The service was quietly delivered, and everyone ate like kings and queens! Now, the food! Wow, the food!! The chef was given a round of applause at the end of the evening. That GREAT! I could not recommend them more. Thank you for making Bette's 90th birthday magic!

If you're looking for a real old-fashion RI clambake, McGrath Clambakes has been doing it for over 50 years!. We were at Fort Adams for our family and friend’s reunion of 50 on Saturday afternoon July 10 for an old-fashioned New England lobster & clambake. As part of the McGrath catering service, they added the tour of Fort Adams to the menu. The views from the top of Fort Adams were some of the best views of Newport and we even got to go through the tunnels with flashlights!McGrath's was a dream to work with from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious (the lobsters! steamer clams & clear clam chowder!), the staff was friendly and professional, and the bar service was great. The clambake presentation was a magical experience and a highlight of the night. We really enjoyed ourselves. I highly recommend McGrath Clambakes & Catering and their friendly team. ~~~~_/),,,,,,,

Planning a wedding isn't easy, especially one in the middle of a global pandemic. We wanted to thank Mcgrath's Clambakes and Catering for making our special day, even more special. We decided on the Newport Surf and Turf Dinner with three appetizers, including Crystallized Ginger Seared Scallops with a Citrus Reduction; Seared Spicy Tuna Kabobs with a Garlic and Cilantro Yogurt Sauce and lastly, Thai Peanut Chicken Skewers. We have been thinking of those Scallops and Tuna Kabobs, ever since! The food was perfectly seasoned with delicious flavors. The table service and servicing staff were well dress and professional. The husband and wife team orchestrated a perfect day. Thank you.
