This is the best sandwich shop ever, with the nicest owner.

My husband and I had just walked like 7 miles and we were exhausted and starving. We ordered a lobster roll, but they didn’t have enough lobster to give us a full serving. The owner decided to make us a free lobster sandwich with the rest of the lobster they had. It was such a thoughtful gesture. He also gave us really great restaurant recommendations, and he gave our dog some treats.

We ordered 2 more sandwiches (eggplant Parmesan and something with roast beef). The eggplant was so good, and it was so big that we had to take the other sandwich home. The fries were also solid, and they make the cookies in house.

I would go back every day if I could!

Authentic artwork on the walls. Outside eating area is gorgeous.

The beeper system is efficient because the sandwiches take time to make.

The sandwiches take time to make because they are as breathtaking as the Newport scenery they are surrounded by.

I had the fried chicken sandwich special and it was way more than I expected.

Two very crunchy filets with guacamole on one side and bacon on the other, on an onion roll.

It was too big for me to eat as a normal sandwich, so I ate them as two open-faced sandwiches and it was absolutely worth my time.

This was served with some of the most delicious artisanal french fries that I've had served alongside a sandwich.

The pasta salad has fresh dill and black olives and creates such a unique flavor profile for something as mundane as a pasta salad.

The price to value ratio is seriously out of wack, I feel like I'm robbing the place.

Photo is of half the sandwich and the pasta salad.

I walked in an asked for their signature sandwich 10oz North Sure style. It is very similar to an Arby's beef and cheddar but way better. Roast beef on an onion bun with BBQ sauce ameican cheese and mayo. It came with a pretty tasty coleslaw. The place is a fast casual lunch counter style operation with extra outside seating located on the backside of a building off of Thames St.There are plenty of other sandwiches, including breakfast, that I'd love to try. There was one super nice woman working the counter when I visited. Great, fast spot.

I’ve been meaning to try this place for a while, but the crowds and steep parking fees kept me away. Finally made it on a rainy, Monday afternoon and it was worth it.
Delicious sandwich with plenty of meat and cheese on fresh bread. Great location, just wishing there was some more indoor seating other than the counter against the wall. Fairly priced as far as Newport goes. Will need to come back to try one of their hot sandwiches.

I ordered the roast beef sandwich—the signature item here—and was surprised by how poor the quality was. The meat was unevenly sliced and filled with tough, fatty pieces. As I tried to pick through and salvage what I could, it became clear there wasn’t anything worth keeping. The oversalted slices had a faint iridescent glisten, never a good sign when it comes to roast beef, and certainly not a sign of freshness. By the end, I was left with an inedible sandwich and even less appetite. Never again!

Small Beef sandwich runs you $15, not worth it especially for how soggy it is.

Edit: Tried it again, and it was still soggy and overpriced. Thanks.

Takes a lot for me to write a bad review…but I was generally shocked by the service. I ordered two sandwiches which the menu board said each included a side salad. After an incredibly long wait, I was handed the two sandwiches without salads. When I asked about the salads, I was told “oh we don’t have sides today.” The menu clearly stated it was included. I would think you could at least inform customers when they ordered or offer a discount if part of the meal you thought you were ordering wasn’t available. The food was fine, nothing special.

I ordered pick up and I got the food right when it said it would be ready! My fries were cold and stale, like they had been sitting there for hours. The chicken salad sandwich is bland and has absolutely no flavor. The most disappointing meal I’ve had in a long time.

The roast beef sandwich was absolutely incredible. My one regret was not taking an additional sandwich to go.

Ordered a blt sandwich from here through delivery. Awful experience! Delivery was great by door dash though. Bacon was burnt, sooo salty. Disgusting! An almost $30 sandwich, that went in the trash. So disappointed!
