We come to Newport every summer and have high expectations of the restaurants on offer. This was a new restaurant for us, located in the neighborhood rather than on the commercial strip. Frankly, we were disappointed. The restaurant was nearly empty (it was a Sunday evening, to be fair). If we hadn't made a reservation, we would have left without ordering. We sat in the bar area, where there were 2 TVs on, rather than in the larger restaurant area, which was empty. The wait staff was pleasant enough, but not engaged. The wine list was minimal, the food was adequate, nothing special, though the descriptions and the prices would suggest otherwise. We won't return.
Several in my party stated that the food was good but not great. My meal was made incorrectly several times. By the time I got the mostly correct meal, the rest of my party was far done eating their meals. My meal was over cooked so much that it was burnt and it was still missing a key ingredient. I've had mistakes made with my meals in the past at other restaurants and don't typically make a big deal out of it. However, this was handled very poorly by the waitstaff. After I turned the food away for the 3rd time, a manager came over and basically defended the waitress for all of her errors blaming the way that I ordered it.
We had a great time! The food and drinks were awesome and the restaurant was really cool! Our waitress was nice and the restaurant wasn't too crowded. There was also plenty of street parking for a Friday in Newport in the summer!
Although it was moderately crowded, the noise levels were lower than we would've expected. We were very pleased by that. We could hear each other talk. That is a rare luxury in a popular restaurant.
Came here with a large party over the 4th. It took us 15 minutes to get greeted at our table. The restaurant was half full. After ordering drinks, two were forgotten and we had to find the server to ask for them after waiting 15 minutes for her to come out of the kitchen. The fire alarm went off, which happens, but there was no acknowledgment from anybody in the restaurant working there to let us know if we should leave or if we should stay, if there was an actual fire or even say sorry. The fire alarm went on for 15 minutes and eventually turned off, again, no acknowledgment from staff. Our kids were respectfully playing pool and were yelled at by a staff member to stop. After our food was served, we didn't hear from anyone on the staff again. Had to flag a staff member down to get our check. We paid, then we left. It was truly a bad experience.
Excellent fun spot in the quieter section of Broadway. Food and service are top notch, and occasional shows last the Swing Band Orchestra the last Tuesday of the month can't be beat
Most of us agreed that this was one of the best meals we'd ever had. We got the pasta, steak frites, and a flatbread that had strawberry, prosciutto, and balsamic dressing and shared. It was phenomenal. The inside was so cute and there was live music (a tad bit loud but the food was a good we didn't need to talk for long!) A great experience, would 100% recommend!
The lumpia appetizer was great. So was the salmon and buttered cod. Both done well and served with care. The surprise came with the bill ... two martinis at $16 ea. Ok .. a little high ... but then I was offered 3 gins and chose Hendricks. This showed up as a plus up charge of $8. Not cool. Either post your prices or explain that you are charging a premium. Your customers deserve the same respect you expect to receive in your restaurant. I will be back ... but will pass on the hidden drink costs.
If you will prefer the dining area, which is large and open and very pretty, request it when you make the reservation. Otherwise, you may likely be seated in a booth in the bar area. It is quite loud. The service is excellent. The food is good. The Naan bread appetizer is delicious, as is the calamari.
Incredible food, service, and atmosphere - as always! Everything we tried was thoughtfully made and so fresh.

The food was delicious. The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. The ambiance was very chill. We loved it and would highly recommend this restaurant!
Great brunch! The breakfast plate is a step above most places with grilled Italian bread with garlic butter and tasty roasted potatoes . We shared the ricotta pancakes and French toast sticks. Both were amazing! Service was great and they even put the Liverpool game on for us.
The food exceeded our expectations by far. This was by far the best salmon I dare say I've ever had.
Such a great place whether you're dining in or want to sit at the large bar! The food is so good and the people that work there are amazing!!! I really enjoy the rustic modern feel and decorative lighting it all brings me back for more!!! Cheers!!!
