🌟🌟🌟🌟 Absolutely outstanding! I just had the most amazing BLT with coconut bacon at ROOT on Broadway in Newport — pure amazeballs. They never disappoint! The flavors were incredible, the coconut bacon was a total game-changer, and the vibe is always spot-on. I also grabbed some chocolate chip cookies for dessert and they were heavenly. If you’re in Newport and craving something delicious, creative, and plant-based, ROOT is the spot. Can’t wait to go back!

Absolutely delicious!! Stopped here from out of town for a quick vegan meal and wow it blew me away. I got the BLT and added avocado, the glow bowl, and the pulled jackfruit sandwich with a smoothie. Everything was made quickly, the flavors were so vibrant and unique - 10/10 hope to be back soon!

My mom, sister, and I came all the way from CT today so my sister could show us this place. It exceeded my expectations even beyond the amazing things I’d heard. Food was amazing, vegan goodies in our sandwiches and salads were made in house, not processed. Such a treat. Everything was delicious, the service was beyond - we had a lovely conversation with the owner, who clearly runs the establishment with only the highest of vibes!!! Can’t wait to go back.

I got the acai bowl which was okay, and my non-vegan mom got the banana almond joy toast, which she liked. I think I would give this place 5 stars if I tried one of the sandwiches; they look really good!

The food was absolutely amazing—I’ll never forget that incredible toast! This place has a hard closing time: around 4:45 they start mopping and sweeping, and you’ll need to take your food to go. Which I get, just something to keep in mind when planning your visit. The food is totally worth every penny spent here.

The best place for vegan breakfast in Newport. I’m not local but when I visit I make sure to stop in at least once, if not more! The ricotta berry toast is INSANE. A must-try.

I was so hungry because I had skipped breakfast on my east coast road trip.
After touring the Breakers I needed some sustenance and I found this place on happy cow.
A salad and smoothie sounded like just the thing to fill me up with something fresher than fast food.
I decided to get the East Grain Bowl and my brother got the chickpea salad sandwich. Both were large and filling. The ingredients were so fresh and tasted amazing. I love kimchi and eggplant. The east bowl had both and was a perfect mix of flavors I crave. I need more fresh greens in my life.
The bowls are perfect for a summer day because they are light and filling. It isn't like shoving an impossible burger into your face and feeling all that grease sit in your stomach. This feels like good fuel for my body and I wish I could find a place like this everywhere I travel.
I highly recommend this place for breakfast, lunch, and anything in between.
Next time I'm in this area I will come here again.
