Salt Water Harborside Dining

We stopped in for drinks and the staff could not have been more awesome. John was our bartender, and he was attentive and made our visit with his sense of humor.

Unfortunately, our experience here was very disappointing. The seafood scampi lacked flavor, and the service was quite slow—we waited a long time for drinks and condiments. Sadly, this wasn’t what we had hoped for, and we don’t plan to return.

2 days ago wife and I go to outside bar for a drink. Bar wasn't full, one table and everyone had drinks. Bartender (Janette maybe? Nametags too small to read) she's an older woman, practically ignored us. Wouldn't make eye contact, nothing. And we sat dead center of the bar. For a good 10 minutes. Then some guy walks up to the bar and orders a few beers for his table and she helps him. After helping him, she still doesn't help us for a couple more minutes. Lucky for us Scott came to the bar to help.

He was great. Helped us immediately. Unfortunately when we wanted a second drink Scott was off running food and she did it again. She wouldn't make eye contact, even picked up her phone to check it! Again, someone came up to order and she helped them immediately. When Scott returned he helped us out.

Not sure what we did to offend this woman but terrible service.

Saltwater is amazing, but AK made it unforgettable! Friendly, attentive, incredibly knowledgeable and super handsome too. Every detail was perfect, from timing to recommendations. If you go, ask for AK! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Amazing restaurant! Wonderful live music! Service was exceptional! Espresso martinis are so good and they accommodate children! Hands-down, I will be coming here again in the future!

I ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken and it was really good! Our waitress was attentive and kind. The prices aren’t too bad for the area so I’d definitely come here for a good lunch :) and I was jammin to the music so 10/10 just for whoever had the aux cord!

My family and I stayed here for a recent event. We had dinner Friday and an after party Sunday. The staff could not have been more attentive and kind - Matthew especially worked hard to take care of us & never stopped smiling! Special shout out to Dalton and Angie as well! They made a great positive impact on our event and we will always appreciate it!

Had an overall great time, we enjoyed an early dinner on Father’s Day and loved the live music. The Lobster roll was delicious, chicken wings were plump and tasty. The service was a little slower than anticipated but it was busy so we understood and didn’t let it ruin the experience. Will come back again next time we’re in Newport.
