Our server was terrible. Absurdly inattentive, to the point that we were asking the bus boy and host constantly for everything. At one point we asked the server for something, and she just never came back. Then we asked a bus boy, he brought it, then the server showed up and asked if we still needed it 😆. Also super expensive and the food was not great.

The food was fantastic, especially the pizza and arancini. The waitress was a bit overworked, slowed things down a bit, but not a huge deal.

The limoncello was good, I'm not sure what brand it is, but it tastes just like the one I make. However, it was a big let down when it came out at room temperature. It really needs to be stored in the freezer!!

Best food i’ve ever had. For apps get the Arancini and Mussels. The greatest dish I’ve ever had was the Lobster Ravioli. Unreal. Goated. Bussin.

We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit at Sardella's. It was recommended by a friend and we would definitely return. The food was excellent and reasonably priced for the quality.

DEAD FLY IN MY FOOD

I just left Sardella’s 15 minutes ago after finding a dead fly in my linguine bolognese. I called the manager over, who surprisingly didn’t seem too concerned. He removed my meal from the bill, as if that would make up for it. I told him I didn’t think I should have to pay for anything because I’m concerned about the cleanliness of my wife’s food as well. He refused to make things right. Now I’m hoping I don’t get sick tonight. I’m calling the health department tomorrow to file a complaint because I have a feeling they kept serving the batch of sauce to customers.

Waitress should have been trained better. She never came back for refills and brought us a $423.00 check that should have been $110.00.

We have been going to Sardella's for over 20 years. Tonight officially closed the chapter to not return again. Best thing of the evening was the friendly hostess and our server. Rolls were brick hard like a crouton, after the 2nd basket, asked them to cook fresh ones. Chicken parm and a meatball is a go to, that's it. Veal parm was like cutting into gum that my 10yr old actually gagged on trying to chew it ( its his favorite) lobster ravioli inedible with 1 bite of lobster and a few stewed tomatoes that give the apparence of lobster in a bright neon sauce, short rib for my daughter that rib was fair but the mashed potatoes tasted like they were made at 3pm and reheated 10x. Such a disappointment- we trick ourselves each summer to give it a try, as its season dependent- but writing this review for my own reminder to drive by.
Edit - 2 stars to 1 when 3 of my kids had stomach aches post dinner and felt like they were going to get sick.
So sad Sardellas - honestly what happened to you!??

Good service, great atmosphere, even better food. Our first time dining but it won't be our last, it was one of the best food experiences we've had so far while visiting Newport and surrounding areas. The drinks were noteworthy as well and definitely the best cocktails weve had so far. Its been hit or miss and disappointing with a lot of the restaurants in this particular area of Newport, a lot of tourists traps with over the top prices and mediocre food and service, so it was beyond positive to come across a restaurant that provided everything, good food, good service and good atmosphere. Keep up the great work!

Excellent house dressing on salad. Pasta sauces were superb!!!! Great service. Nice atmosphere inside and outside. Street parking was metered but cheap. Best restaurant I've been to in Newport.
