I stop by Simple Merchant Coffee as often as I can—not just for their incredible coffee (the Maple Latte is a personal favorite), but also for their delicious food. From the loaded yogurt with berries, honey, and granola to their burritos and babkas, everything is thoughtfully made and full of flavor. The team there is just as impressive—welcoming, talented, and effortlessly cool. Their barista skills are top-notch, and the overall vibe keeps me coming back.
Phenomenal coffee. Best coffee in Newport, the baristas know what they are doing. Enjoyed every sip of it. I wish we had more time in Newport so we could come back to this place and try other options from their very creative menu. Service was super welcoming, recommendations were great. Relaxed atmosphere for both humans and pets.
This coffee shop deserves six out of five stars! My friend and I are avid explorers of coffee shops and culture worldwide, and this spot has officially claimed our top ranking in Rhode Island. I have incredibly high expectations, especially when I spot a La Marzocco Swan on the counter, varies coffee source, and they absolutely exceeded them with their outstanding coffee drinks.
