Living locally we forget about the Newport old standbys. Atmosphere, service and food were great. I had the chowder, my husband the cod casserole. Chowder is a classic and the cod was very good.
Been there multiple times now. Love the area- right on the water,at the wharf .The service is great. We arrived early for our reservations and they had no issues seating us. People are so nice. Food is always great. The clam chowder is excellent. I definitely recommend it.
Great food, good service, reasonable prices, overall much better experience than it has to be as a tourist destination. Smaller, more intimate space than I expected. We sat at a window facing the water and working buildings, which added to the Newport ambiance. We arrived in the early evening in the off season so parking was no problem in a nearby paid lot and we walked up and were seated immediately. Service was friendly and efficient.
